Sleep Study Locations in IL-Feedback please.
ok, so i found out they want me to have one done, if you have had one where was it and how was the facility? Are the rooms private? They offered me two locations one at CDH and one in Naperville, i did some research on my own and found a place with 2 locations which looks nice, so i'm also going to ask them if i can chose where i want to have this done.
one is http://www.sleepmedcenter.com/inframe_location.html
another http://www.dupagemedicalgroup.com/ as they are close to home

The first thing I would do is make sure the place works with your insurance. Then i would go with where your Dr reccomends, since he probaly sends most of his patients there.
I did mine at Alexian Bros in Elk Grove Village. The room was big and private and clean. In at 9 and done by 7a.m.
good luck.

I agree with Lisa. You want to go where your doctor recommends and where your insurance approves. As far as the rooms being private, yes they are private rooms as in you are the only person sleeping in the room. However, there is a one way mirror so you can be observed and you are hooked up to all kinds of wires. They also will talk to you through the night. I felt like I did not get any sleep.

Finding a sleep study that your insurance approves is often the hard part.
My last sleep study was at a group called Merit Sleep Centers in Nov 2009 at their Naperville, IL location. It was VERY nice(comfortable) and each room was very private with no noise issues at all. This room also had private bathroom like a hotel.
All sleep studies require that the tech observe your body position, so no matter where you go there will be a camera or 2 way glass focused on the bed. I've never had a big problem with any sleep study but conditions will definitely vary.
