Saturday Roll Call
Hoping the sun can make it through the clouds and shine today.
Kids are driving their daddy nuts, so for retribution we are dragging them to one last mattress store and we are not coming home until we have purchased a new mattress. Also hitting some resale shops to look for jeans for Daddy.
I'm looking forward to tonight. It's been nearly a year since hubby and I have gone out on a 'date'. Tonight we are going to an italian restaurant and then either a movie or martinis. Woohoo!!
Hope everyone gets their dishwashers replaced/fixed! I love mine, before my last pregnacy we installed one and that puppy has not had a day of rest since! Nancy I used to be the dishwasher also and then my hands went on strike
We ended up with about an 1" of snow but it was blowing pretty good in the country when I went to the gym this morning. Had a wake to go to then my husband and I went to lunch. Now I'm in for the day, want to get lots of knitting done.
Good luck with all your dishwashers. My sister said she just got a Bosch and loves it. It has a red light that shines on the floor when it's running and she couldn't figure out why at first then found out it's because it is so quiet, you'd never know it's running unless that light is on. Me, you're looking at our dishwasher! Keeps your nails clean!

Iam grateful that the snow missed us, the sky is blue today, and the sun is out.
I went to Bloomington last night for my DG winter chorus concert, then went back today for a food party my daughter was having. I am home now, and going to do nothing the rest of the day.
Ok, I have had a dishwasher for close to 42 years. I got my first one after I had been out for a meeting, after I had made dinner and cleaned the kitchen. My oldest daughter was only 1 and not sure if I even had the 2nd one yet. Anyhow, I came home and there was a sinkful of dishes. Needless to say, I was a little hot. The next morning I told my DH that if he wasn't going to clean up his own mess (meaning dishes), then I wanted a dishwasher, because I wasn't gonna to do them. Oh, by the way, he was a manager of a appliance store at the time. Needless to say, the dishwasher arrived by noon, and if it was to break down, a new one takes its place.

Hello Illinois!
Late afternoon check in. I'm working on putting new Corian countertops in my kitchen, so spent the morning picking up a new faucet, looking for gargage disposal, running errands. I ordered a new maytag dishwasher and hotpoint stove, which will be delivered end of next week. Funny everyone was talking about dishwashers!
Not much going on. Watching South Pacific newer version with Harry Connick Jr and Glenn Close. Pretty good. Says it was made in 2001. I may have seen it, but don't really remember. Not much else happening.

Today, I replaced a long list of little things to do in midday --- like mend a hole in my pants, box up boots to return to Zappos, email my diabetes educator, etc. --- and instead cogitated (and posted) about WLS. My husband is our dishwasher. I don't really know how that evolved, but he just always does them now and I and my daughter don't. He's actually up, washing dishes, in the middle of any sit-down meal we have. It's hard to horn in on that. --- No room or desire for a dishwashing machine though.
Oh! I've been increasing my fiber. Uh. I now know what folks here are talking about when they say: "Never trust a toot." (At least, that's what we call 'em in my house.) Yikes!!!
Tonight, I'm in the mood for a movie. Wanted Rocky (see my comment to my post linked above), but Blockbuster didn't have it. We're going to watch the Amelia Earhart movie instead. Heroic, but kinda a different ending, eh?

My hubby is home today, off from work. Did some shopping and other errands, now we are home. He is watching a disgusting movie, so I am here! We were supposed to watch Boondock Saints (the new one), but I guess it isn't on DVD yet. So, he picked this awful movie with blood and guts... he knows I hate those... kind of selfish if you ask me!
Anyway, my dishwasher has been broken for years. Never got it fixed or replaced because I never really used it anyway. Habit, I guess. I drove for the first time since toe surgery today. My cast is still on, but I took off the "shoe" and I can drive just fine. Good thing, because my husband told me today he has an appointment Tuesday at the same time I am getting my cast off. He said I would need to wait until Friday, and I said H*LL NO!!!
I have put out some resumes for a part-time or full-time job. I would like to do the hotel/hospitality/travel industry again. It seems I felt the most valuable and effective in those environments... making people happy is good for the soul! I hope I get at least someone to call me back!!!
Well, I've got to put the foot up again... starting to ache. Enjoy the rest of the day!!!
