Wednesday Roll Call

Morning Illinois!  They say that today is supposed to be a sunny day, I hope that this time they are right!

Last night's class was pretty basic, just telling us again what the surgery is, how it's done, etc.  Then the nut talked about food labels and how to read them.  Portion sizes, etc.  I have homework for the next few weeks, I have to log my food and keep track of my fiber and water intake.  Right now I'm eating my special K protein cereal with banana, 5 g of fiber to start my day!!

Today is a busy day, I have to call my PCP to get my throat checked and also for him to sign a form for the surgeon and get the dreaded PAP.  I DETEST geting that test.  They always get a faulty result so I end up having to get it done twice. I hate it.  Then this week is Catholic Schools Week and the boys school is having parent/grandparent luncheon which is when I'm working so I get to help herd the parents and grandparents for lunch time.  Fun !  Then we have Tae Kwon Do lessons after school and tonight my 7year old has his First Confession at the church. 

Not to mention I have totally procrastinated on buying the supplies for the Cub Scout Den meetng tomorrow night so I need to find time to do that today as well.

Hello everyone

 I had to come in to work today and decorate cubicles.  We have two birthdays today and since I'm the first one in I'm always the one to decorate.  We're also having a food day, I will be good don't worry.

Tomorrow I won't be at work.  I am being sent to a seminar for management.  The seminar doesn't start till 9am so I will be able to sleep in tomorrow morning.  No 4:30am alarm!!!!

Today is one year since my mom died.  It still doesn't feel real.

I can relate.  It just does not seem real.  I still get the urge to call Mom.  It gets easier but you still miss them terribly.  You just don't cry at the drop of a hat anymore.  I hate these anniversaries.  I usually spend them reflecting on the good times I had with my parents but that does end up making me miss them more.  Hugs.

Keep up the good work, it will all pay off trust me. Do I have a testimony!!!!  Well I made it to my 1 year Surgiversary goal last week to be in the 180's.  Now the hard part, I need to lose this last 20ish lbs.  Good news as the weather is turning - Love outside exercise and walking.

Well if I've done this right you will see my daughter and I last Sunday while she was a nominee, performer and co-host of the Chicago Music Awards.  I'm glad to say I can officially say I have the energy to run around with her, travel with her and carry her bags...lol                                                                                                                                                              I feel wonderful & thanks Illinois for all of your support.
