What has YOUR experience been with Medicare and RNY approval?

I am wondering what people's experiences have been with using Medicare as their insurance and getting their RNY approved?

I am already seeing a surgeon in an approved Center of Excellence.  Now I am just wondering what the journey was like for others with Medicare?

How long did they take to approve your surgery?
What were your preop requirements from Medicare specifically?

i have medicaid and im sure its pretty much the same. what ever hospital u choose will have a 3-6 month process for approval. but u will have to take test eat differently and your health has to be up to part. im at uic in chicago and ive been going since january my surgery should be in may.
