Monday Roll Call

Hello Everyone

I hate Mondays....I wish I was still in bed sleeping...but no I am at work.

Yesterday I was cleaning the stove after cooking dinner.  I grabbed the grate I was just cooking on with my bare hands.  I burned three fingers and a spot on my palm.  What an Idiot I am.
I have to go to get my tire fixed today after work.  It's supposed to snow later tonight and I don't want to be driving on a spare when it's snowing.

Well it's time to get back to work.  Have a great day.

Oh no! I hope your day gets better!  Keep an eye on that burnt had so it doesn't get infected.

I also wish I was still in bed.  So nice and warm and snuggly.  At least we don't have too much going on today.  I'm still feeling pretty beat from yesterday and running the derby.

Just work and then putzing around the house.  No meetings! Yay!

Have a great day everyone!

I am not working and I am not making money.

I am going back to bed.

I cannot wait to find a job I can complain about.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Oh man, sorry about the burn. You're not an idiot. You're just the latest member of the "I Can't Believe I Did That!" Club. I once touched an iron to see if it was hot enough. Yes, it was. Hot enough to burn my fingers! Duh.

I'm homebound today, getting stuff done, letting hubby take our shared car to work.

I am STILL potty training our little guy. I swear, this is the longest potty training on record. It's gonna be a looooong day!

Have a good day, guys!

Good Morning Crystal and Illinois Friends.

Wow, Crystal, your luck over the weekend was really cruddy.  I hope your week goes better!  Maybe there is an advantage to working!

Carol, I am glad the derby went well.  If you are tired, then that probably means that it was a great day!

Nicole, bummer being stuck at home.  Potty training can be a big challenge but well worth it in the end.  If you are not making progress, maybe your son is not ready and you need to take a break and try again later.

Randy, you will have a job soon and can complain with the rest of us!  The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

I called Dish last night and again it was an ordeal.  Finally got the second TV up and running.  Hope it all stays good for a looooong time as I dont want to have to deal with them any time soon.  Sheesh.

I have already been to the dentist today.  I have pt tomorrow.  So these will be busy mornings for me the next few weeks.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Crystal, I'm so sorry about the burn! I've done that too! Recently I burned the front of my favorite polar fleece jacket by not paying attention taking something out of the oven. It's the jacket I love to wear around the house when it's cold--it still keeps me warm, but looks awful!

I have a few clients this afternoon so I will be going into the office later. First I will be knitting with my friends. I am making a sock with a herringbone pattern that is really easy and looks really intricate. I have a couple of short projects to do before I start another sweater.

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Connie,
Sounds like a fun day today.  Wondering what the pattern name of the sock you are working on is called.  I've made a lot of socks with just the p2, k2 rib and need something new to do.  Also, I finised the back of my aran sweater this weekend and got the front started.  It is really turning out pretty, now I just need to get my surgery scheduled so I can fit into it!  Enjoy your day.

It's called Broadripple socks and it was a free download from Knitty.com and it was from summer 03. When I did the first sock I found the beginning directions confusing but after about an inch or two I could see the pattern and didn't need to look every row. Are you on Ravelry.com? I am "cre8" on that board. I've done a few aran sweaters and now am making my own patterns. Since I am still a plus size I don't always find the kind of designs I want so I figured out how to make them fit.

Thanks for the info, Connie.  I'll try to download it.  I just got on Ravelry last week thru the Lion Brand knit along.  It has really been helpful.  I'm impressed with making your own patterns.  I think because of being a plus size, I never tried the sweaters before for myself.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am working this morning too, but also could have stayed in my nice, warm bed.  Even better would have been being able to stay in that Jacuzzi suite’s king sized bed and watching the flat screen HD TV.  What a life!!!!!  The suite was great!  I swear it had almost as much floor space as our old house.  Two big rooms, the living room with a nice leather pull out couch, coffee table, desk, bar, refrigerator, microwave and pub style table & chairs.  It was great not be feel all cramped up with the kids.

Crystal, I wish you a better week from here on out.  I HATE when I do that with the stove burners!  It happens WAY more than it should to me.

Carol M.—Glad you had fun at the Derby.  My husband and son are also Scouts and I remember those days.  They still help with the Cub’s derby.  My son is going to the Jamboree this summer and should be completing his Eagle Project before too long.

Randy—I agree…..the grass always seems greener.

Nicole---Amber has been working with our Granddaughter on potty training and it is definitely an up and down thing.  She was doing great, then last weekend, she had 5-6 accidents before she managed to go on the pot.  It will work out…..it always does.  How many high schoolers are still in diapers?????

Nancy—you are a busy woman before you even GET to work.  I am glad we did not switch to DISH after hearing your story.

Connie and Lynn---have fun knitting.  Maybe I will take it up again one day.

We had a great time over the weekend and the red dress was a big hit.  Todd took a couple of pictures and I will post them as soon as I get a chance.

We will have a quiet couple of days here, then Thursday, the performances begin and the kids will do 6 shows before closing on Sunday.  David said last night that he is just about ready for this to be done.

Everyone have a spectacular day!

Tell someone that you love them!
