Timeline?

Congratulations to everyone *****cently got approved or had surgery.   I read in a post that BCBS of IL responded quickly with an approval, and am hoping the same happens in my case.

I will be finishing my three month diet program the end of March.  Dr. Kane's team already contacted insurance to indicate I'd be getting a revision (Lap Band over RNY), and the green light was pretty much given.  We are carefully following the guidelines to ensure a formal approval.

I have my fingers crossed for surgery in April.  Am I being unrealistic?  Is it possible I can be under the knife within a month of completing my diet program and exams? 

I want to say I've been reading here a lot and I am impressed by this group.  You all are great.

From the point that they sent my paper work in to the date of my surgery was almost exactly a month.  My insurance approved me in 24 hours!!!  I called the insurance company just to make sure they received my paper work and they said oh yeah your approved.  I had the insurance company fax me the approval and then I faxed the approval to me doctor's office.

If evverything goes exzactly right, Having your revision is very possible qithin a month of approval. Mine was 3 weeks to the day of approval.

Mine was about a year, but I have noticed that many people are getting approved faster these days than two years ago. Just remember, it will happen when it is supposed to!
