Thursday Roll Call
I know i've been scarce, sorry, this last class is really killing me. Not much today, two meetings then off to the chiropractor, then home to hopefully do my exercises, i am really having a hard time with it. I am doing really well with my eating, as a matter of fact, i went to McDonald's yesterday, my mom and dtr were starving, i had no desire to order my anything, (the fires smelt so gooooooooood) but no, didn't even taste one-yeah me.
I have my consult tue, i'm anxious to weigh again and see what i have lost( i cannot believe i'm excited to get on the scale)
Oh, then my dtr springs on me this group she wants to be involved in Teens in Action, like i have spare time to drive her everywhere, but of course, mommy told her fine.
oh and guess what else..... my blood sugars are getting lower and lower, I think it's due to my new meds and healthy eating, but that's exciting for me.
Take care....Shawn Marie
I just made the yummiest lunch and wanted to share my "recipe." Measurements are approximate for the spices. You could add any vegie you want to this and it would be great!
Quick Curried Chicken Salad
1 large can white chicken meat drained and shredded
1/4 cup low-fat mayo
1/4 cup Fage 2% plain greek yogurt
1 oz almond slivers
1 thick slice of onion, diced
1/2 cup grapes sliced in half
1 TBS curry powder (or to taste)
sprinkle of salt and pepper
Protein for the whole batch was 56 gms. I ate 1/2 cup for lunch, which was about 1/3 of the recipe, so that's 18 gms of protein! Plus there's plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow.

Good afternoon! I have a scale victory! I have lost 25 lbs. I've been gaining and losing the same three lbs. for the last couple of weeks and now it finally dropped below. Yea!
Not much going on today. I'm at work and really should be working, but I'm jumping on here real quick. Practiced my presentation again today.
I finished my scarf I was knitting. I'll have to take a picture and share it here.

Good Afternoon Crystal and Illinois!
Crystal, I am so glad you are filling better. I know that had to be scary to actually have some of the fill removed but it sounds like you made the right decision.
Carol, I cant keep up with you. I get exhausted just reading everything you do! I dont know how you get it all in during a regular day. I would be pleading for more time!
Lynn, congrats on surgery approval! That is really exciting!
Dawn, have fun on your weekend.
For me, I am trying to stay warm and out of trouble. I FINALLY got my DVR on Tuesday and got it installed last night after spending 2 hours with Dish network on the phone. I sure am glad that I pay a flat fee for all calls as this was long distance. I have to call again tonight as my second TV does not work yet. I dropped my packet in the mail to the Attorney General on the way to work.
I finally got my physical therapy approved and start tomorrow. I really need to build up strength in my legs. I have trouble on stairs when I dont hang on to anything.
I cant wait for the weekend either. I was so frustrated yesterday I was ready to go home at lunch. Evidently they placed a new policy at work that on Monday nights they would clean out the refrigerators and throw everything away. Well, guess who brought their lunches for the week on Monday ? I went to get lunch yesterday and nothing was there! Plan B becane the vending machine. It really made me angry that they threw away perfectly good food.
Stay warm!
