An Open reply to DagnyK

 Dagny has once again posted on the Chicago Meet up Thread and has decided to tear everyone on our board to pieces and to blame us for her group recruitments not succeeding.  It seems she thinks it is all our fault.  I am starting a separate thread so that EVERYONE is aware of what she thinks.   Here is my reply to her:

This has NOTHING to do with "joining our little club" as you put it.  You came here and started tearing down the group from the get go.  We offered you a welcome and you rejected it.  That is fine, not anyone who is offered takes us up on joining in on our discussion.  But you persisted in trying to SHOVE your group down our throats, but when people expressed interest, you found various reasons to say they were not welcome.  You sat such limited parameters that only a select few were welcome and the welcome mat was not out.  Think back from when you were obese and were excluded from groups and/or others attacked you and that will mirror your behavior.

You cannot put ANY blame on your failure to form a group on the Illinois board!  It is not due to our members.  You cannot find a nicer group.  You did not give anyone a chance.  Instead, you chose to put people down and tell us how wrong we were and always insisted on having the last word.  You did it to yourself.  No one did it for you.  

personally, i have not read her threads but i thought yur response was to the point, well written and respectful.

Very well put and even though the intended person will probably not read it or take it in the spirit given at least it was stated.  Very well stated!

I thought that thread had been put to bed but I guess I was wrong. She has managed to slap and claw at every hand that was extended to her in friendship. Denying Circularsmiles membership in her group is the cherry on the top. Dagny had an open invitation to all that has had WLS to join her group. Anyone can go into the original post and see what she said.

Dagny made mention of loosing $$ for the room etc. This last entry into her original post crys being childish. We did not cause her to loose anything. IMHO I think there also are some anger issues that she is facing because why would an adult lash out like she has done? All in all it is her loss by not participating with the IL board. Hopefully she will find happiness in her life.

I have to admit, when I read that whole original post on the IL board, I read it in horrid fascination!  Every time someone offered a "nice" comment, it was met with a venomous reply. I guess I just don't understand people who want to just cause problems.  We all get along so well, why does anyone want to come in and just cause problems?  Who knows!

Usually when one is unhappy, they try to bring others down with them.  Very unfortunate.

Let me tell you DagnyK you have got a very large chip on your shoulder. You are so wrong you can still learn something from WLS people be it band, rny or even some one who has just dieted to lose weight. I don't care if they are one day or 10 years out. Things are changing all the time, what was protocol for you 5 yrs ago may have changed some. Just because you got to goal and have been able to hold it does not make you any better then the person who still struggles to get to goal. We have all went through hell in our lives about weight issues w/o one of our own acting like they never had weight issues! I'm sorry but I only seen friendship being offered to you and you found fault in all who extend a hand out to you. I usually stay out of this kind of petty stuff but I find all your remarks very offending to me and all who have had or still does have weight problems. As far as your $80. you claim to have lost don't you think maybe you should have had a group to start with before you rented some place to hold a meeting? If you don't want to join "our little club" then don't. It's a open forum, your welcome to post on. If you find us to tight a "family" then maybe you should start your own forum and stay away! Best of luck to you on sharing your knowledge with others but you will also have to be able to except others opinions if you are going to be any kind of leader. When you listen you learn!
