Home from the hospital...
Hi Erika!
Glad you are home. The worst part is over unless you still have that #$%^ gas. I would have paid a fortune to burp or pass gas.
I did find that the more I moved, the faster the gas left my system.
Take it easy, listen to your doctor and STAY AWAY from the scale. I did not use a scale until after my first post op check up. Then I only allowed myself to weigh once a week. It is too easy to get obsessed with the weight loss and whether you are or are not losing. You WILL hit stalls. That is natural. Enjoy the ride. It is awesome!

Hi, Erika!
Congratulations!!! I had no doubts you would do just fine...
I am so glad there were no complications, but just like someone else said... walk, walk, walk!!! That movement is critical for preventing blood clots, okay? Plus, it is just good for you to move things around. NOT YET, but at some point after the staples come out and when doc sayd it's okay, you can start to massage the incision gently several times a day... that will help loosen up scar tissue. My physical therapist told me that after I had back surgery (they went through the front). I had no idea! Otherwise I would have done it for my WLS, too!!!
Anyway, just rest now. Make sure you get up to walk frequently, but other than that just rest... your body needs to heal. And, take in as much water as you can muster... okay?
Many blessings...
