Good Morning  on this cold  January day. We will get to spring,  one day at a time.

We spent NY eve going for dinner, and then home (by 8pm). I ordered Shrimp, with loaded smashed potatoes, and a cup of soup. I also had about 1/4 of a Virgin Mary. All I could eat was about 1/4th of the soup and a bite of potatoes. The rest came home.

I think I have finally found the sweet spot.

Yesterday we put away Christmas, and went to the store. Today will be starting the year end  book work, and setting up the new books.

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I am getting a huge pot of bean soup ready for Todd to take to the local "Bull Nut Feed".  This is a community get together/pot luck.  Everyone brings stuff to eat or drink.  The hunters bring whatever they bagged over the last year so there may be turtle, deer, bear, raccoon, squirrel, wild turkey, quail, etc., etc., etc..........  Folks bring home made wines, sausage, cheese, whatever they wish to share.  They eat and socialize and play cards.  The delicacy of the day is deep fried bull "nuts", cut into small pieces (like chicken nuggets).  I used to attend this event, but I don't eat much and try to stay away from fried foods so I have not gone in the past few years.  The last time I went, we all REEKED of deep fryer smell for days.  David, Todd and the neighbors are going.  Liv and I are thinking of going shopping, or maybe just staying in and watching movies.  We will see.  We might go for some cheese and sausage, then go shopping.

New Year's Eve was a lot of fun.  the neighbors all came over, played cards and games.  We started a new tradition, based on the ceremony that was held in Times Square this year.  Everyone either brought or wrote a bad memory or event from 2009 and we threw them in the fire as a symbolic way to let go of them so that they held no more power over us.  It was a great thing.  In Times Square, they shredded them.

I had my house put back together by noon yesterday and we hung out and watched movies the rest of the day.  Chinese was dinner.

I was debating on whether to go out this afternoon and the cold weather made me decide that staying inside was the answer!  Hope it warms up soon.  Besides, jammies are too comfortable to get dressed.  Do you think they will let me wear my jammies when I go back to work?  

I plan to pay bills this afternoon.  That needs to be done.  Other than that, no special plans.  Am watching Chevy Chase's European Vacation right now.  Love those Vacation movies!

I kept meaning to get on here earlier today and then I would remember something I needed/wanted to do and I never sat down!  lol  I worked out on my eliptical today too, I felt so good afterwards!  I plan on doing that realistically 3-4 times a week right now and working up to every day eventually. 

Christmas is gone for the most part in our house.  Mike still needs to dismantle the tree, and he gets to do it by himself every year because if people try to help him, he gets all mad that it's not done exactly the way he wants it.  ::::::::shrug::::::::  so do it yourself I say!  lol

I have done some laundry today, cleaned up the kitchen and just did some minor other things.  Now I am going to work on looking up CPT codes for homework!  fun fun fun....NOT! 

oh well, I will check in tomorrow!
