Helpful Tools?

My husband has been eyeing the Ab Rocket they advertise on t.v.  Looks like it costs about $100 at Wal-mart, etc.  Do any of you have it/recommend it by chance?  I see mixed reviews on the Wal-mart website.

My co-workers bought me a little electric pitcher that I can heat up water right on my desk at work.  Love it as I can make SF hot chocolate or tea without being away from my desk/phone too much and helps get those liquids in me!

Did any of you get any handy items recently that are helpful in your journey? 

According to my daughter (kinesiology graduate, has personal trainer qualifications and coaches), it's better if you can do it with body weight than with a machine for any kind of muscle toning.

As far as helpful tools, I love Zyliss cups: they fit on my blender if I need to puree something small, or I can just use them as a shaker up to mix my protein.

I have two products I love right now:

Vitamin Holder: I take about 13-14 vitamins a day (most of them calcium citrate) so I wanted a good pill container. I found one at The Container Store that is weekly and each day pops out to stow in your pocket or purse when you are out and about all day. It was $8. I now have two, so I don't miss a day when if I am less than perfect about loading it up.

Calcium Citrate: And I love Calcet Calcium Citrate Creamy Bites (lemon flavor). Each little bite is like a little dessert and it has 500mg of calcium citrate and some D3 in it. You can order it online for about 40 cents a dose.

Nicolle....get out of my head  You are a mind reader!!! I was talking to Star Jones (from the DS board) earlier today and she was telling me about her vitamin storage. I told her that I have vitamins all over the place and that I need to get a better system.

Oh, I know Star Jones--she's a riot. Ask her about 1,000s of uses for Fed Ex boxes. There's one in particular that is TMI. LOL!

My Mozilla Firefox does not let me post links and I am too computer illiterate to fix it. But search the Container Store site for "weekly pill organizer." It's the rectangle one, with a small rectangle you can pop out each day for $7.99. I bought one at the Northbrook store and one at the North Avenue store, so they are in-store versus paying shipping and handling.

I really like it. And I like having at least two so that I "never" run out.

In the beginning, I used my Magic Bullet (blender type thing) 2-3 times per day.  I am now more into the warm protein, so I use an insulated cup on my way to work every day.  The trick is to hea****er in the cup for about 4-5 minutes to heat the cup BEFORE pouring in the warm protein drink.  this keeps the cup and drink warm  in the car longer on these cold, cold mornings.
