My to do list for 2010

Some people call them "new years resolutions"  but I am going to call it my "to do list".  These are some things I would like to do this year.

1.  Sign up on Match.com.  I haven't gone on a date in years but I have decided that I need to get over my fear of rejection, intimacy, commitment and men in general.  Who knows maybe I will meet someone nice.  I never admitted this to anyone but sometimes I feel lonely and I wish I had someone.  It's my turn to find happiness. 

2.  Buy a treadmill.  I have to save money first but I want a treadmill.  I think it will jump start my weight loss.

3.  Learn to knit.  I always wanted to learn but never got around to learning.  I was told many times that it's harder for left handers to learn.  But I figured if I can learn to drive...I can learn to knit.

4.  I want to go to an Overeaters Anonymous meeting.  There is one by Mercy Hospital in Aurora.  I want to see if it helps.  I need to face the fact that I have issues with food.  My parents were alcoholics and drug addicts and I think my behavior toward food very similar to their addictions.  Might as well take care of myself body and mind. 

5.  When I go to the Bahamas I WILL wear a bathing suit and go swimming.  I haven't done that since I was skinny.  I need to just let go and have fun...it's not like I will ever see any of those people again. 

This is all I have so far.  Hopefully I will be able to fulfill 3 out of 5 of these items.

That's a great list!

I would like to do the following:

1. Strange, I can swim. I can doggy paddle.  But I can't tread water....gotta work on that one.

2. Dedicate more time to my blog.

3. Get organized.

Mine are simple and there are many others but these are primary.

1. Get my surgical wound healed so I can swim.

2. Swim, swim, swim

Crystal....what a great post! Here are some things on my to do list for 2010.

1. I also feel lonely and wish I had someone too. I think I will wait a bit though before I sign up for Match.com :)

2. I want to buy an elliptical. I am always afraid to use them at the gym because at this point I now I can only do a few minutes and you have to reserve them for 30 minutes. I feel like an idiot.

3. Journal more. I am a horrible writer. I have so much in my head that I want to get out but when it comes to sitting down and putting it on paper I am blank. Weird, huh? I really want to document my WLS journey. Hopefully the words will just flow.

4. Get back to being financially sound. The past few years have been bad financially....living paycheck to paycheck is stressful and I need to get back to a place where I am not doing that anymore.

5. Size 14....would be fantastic for me this year!!!

6. Have a better attitude at work. I really like what I do I just need to focus more and get back to that place where I am glad to have a job and come to work.

7. Go on a cruise with my daughter. We always have so much fun together when we travel.

Crystal, GREAT LIST and a fun thread to start!  I'll add a couple, too

1.  WORK the BAND!  Things are still so new.  I want to get my fills and get to the point where food is not a dominate force in my life!

2.  My overall goal is to get to 165, but my mini goal is to get below 200!

3.  Wearing a swimsuit would be awesome.  I haven't been in the water in years because I won't wear a suit!  Chloe needs to learn how to swim and I know I could be a big help!

4.  I really want to go to Disney World this year and take Chloe.  Wanting to get to a point where I can walk the parks without hurting! (and that swim suit thing would come into play here!  LOL)

This is a great thread.

1. I want to get below 200.

2. I want to have a tummie tuck. If the insurance will pay for it.

3. Use the treadmill more during this horrible weather, and walk more in the spring.

4. Use the pool more.
