Protein drinks

My name is Laura and I am going through my required three month diet right now. I have all my clearance tests done and passed them all. YAY! I just want to get a head start on trying some of the protein drinks out there. Can you guys give me the name of some of the better ones. I was looking in the store and they are kind of pricey. Ideas are greatly appreciated!

Hi! Your tastes will change after the surgery so it's probably not worth getting into the protein now. Unjury makes a good one and you can buy inexpensive samples of the flavors. Vitalady.com also has some. It's probably easier online. Chike is another brand you can find online. But who knows what will taste good to you afterwards.

I agree with Connie.  Your tastes do change after surgery.  Mine really have surprised me!  Things I could not tolerate before I love and things I loved, I now cannot stand.  What I did was I ordered a variety of samples to use while newly post op.  That way I could find a product that I liked best without buying HUGE containers of each.  Also, GNC will take back opened containers within one month of purchase if you have your receipt.  The samples for me were just the right size.  I found a lot of samples through companies that advertise on the main board.  If you have questions, feel free to ask, you are in the right place!  Come back often!  

Taste do change and many of mine have.  The Designer Whey Chocolate available at Meijer for about ten dollars last me more than a week since I only have one every morning per my sugeon and nutritionist getting the rest of my protein from foods.  It is still my favorite for everyday, everyday, everyday.  You can get it from Vitalady as well and some day I may get my act together and price it from her.  I had gotten 20 samples from her and need to order some banana scream from her for my variety and to mix with my everyday for a third flavor.  There were iirc four others of her samples that tasted better to me than my everyday one but that I did not think I would like everyday.  First thing in the morning I am in general not looking for any mixing or any exciting flavors.  For years I seldom had anything before noon other than French Roast coffee.

I should also mention that post op your food bill will go way down and the protein will not look as expensive then.  Also that a Magic Bullit or it's Target knock off are a good investment.
