Good Morning Illinois 12/26

 I hope everyone enjoyed their Holiday. The family gave me LOTS of gifts and we had an excellent time. 

I'm now packing our bags for our short road trip. We're going to Rockford to visit family and we're staying at the Coco Key Water Resort.

I had a low-key day, resting to go to work on Monday. Have a great time at the resort. New York wore me out last week. At least this time I could walk Times Square. What a difference a year and 100 lbs can make.

 Good Morning Everyone!

Well our white Christmas arrived a day late, but that probably allowed many families to be able to spend Christmas together.  It looks awful outside!  

I had a VERY quiet day.  The cats and I opened our presents Christmas eve.  I got a Wii fit and a Garmen navigator so I can exercise and not get lost at the same time!    Yesterday I began to figure out how to install the Wii and have it all together except for the cables.  Saved that for today, if it does not involve too much twisting and turning of the knee.  Still haven't figured out the Garmen yet.  So am still lost.  

Glad I dont have to go out in this white stuff.  Hope everyone has a safe, warm, restful and happy weekend!  

Good Afternoon...

We had quite a surprise yesterday.  My 19yr old step-daughter told us our gift would be arriving in July.. Yep.  She is expecting.  I was in shock all day but it's a new day so time to move on and support her.

I had to work this morning, roads were nasty at 7am.  Not so much on the way home.  We are driving to Indy in a few hours to pick the oldest grandbaby for a few days with  Nana and Papaw.  I'm looking so forward to seeing lil miss Madison.  She is growing up too fast.

Not much else going on.  Hope everyone stays warm and safe today.

Hi Everyone,
I had a great day with all of my cousins who live down here in Florida. We had a dinner last night.
Carl got me a new Cannon Camera with 12 megapixels and it programs itself!!!!!
I had left my other camera that was a cannon at my daughters so I told her to keep it and I would get a new one!!!!!
I also got a new 22 inch flat screen monitor for my desktop computer,,,,Now I can see!!!!!
Still no word on when I start shifts at thehospital. I think around the 4th when the holidays calm down.
I am planning a trip to Colorado to see my surgeon and see my best friend. I am surprizing her for her birthday. Ill be gone for about 3 days. That wont be till the end of January or the beginning of February.
