I forgot the acronym.  I did some things yesterday I could not do a year ago.  We rode the Blue Line to Macy's, walked all over Macy's, walked outside to enjoy the windows, had dinner in the Walnut Room and returned by the Blue Line.  The walking of course is huge.  Even larger for me is that over a year ago the RTA trainer recommended I not use the L because of my conditions including claustrophobia.  I was on stuffed elevators and in the subway which I could only barely tolerate two years ago while drenched in sweat.

So you have been forgiven?

Hello everyone

How is everyone.  I hear the weather is going to turn quite ugly today.  So I'm going to do some running around early and then I'm staying in for the day.  As you can see I got home in one piece.  The roads were fine (at least 80 and 57 was fine).  On my way home last night I ran into some sleet but I drove right through it in about 10 minutes and the rest the way home was fine.

My Amanda is home and sleeping on the couch as we speak.  She loves sleeping on the couch...she's weird.  But she actually looks forward to my couch.  She has already told me that when I get rid of the couch I must give it to her.

Georgie-  I honked last night..did you hear me???  Your description of the ride was perfect.  It took me a little over two hours to get there.  Not bad.

Randy-  the acronym you were looking for is NSV=  non-scale victory.  I think your accomplishments are wonderful.  I remember over a year ago you were talking about being on an interview and the guy took you on a long walk.  You were talking about how tired, out of breath and sweaty you were getting....my look at you now!!!  How far you've come.

Well if you guys have a Happy Christmas Eve Eve....drive safe.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve.

Whats that old saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Well, if it ain't bought or made, it ain't  going to get done. Noone will really know or care.

Randy, you had a huge NSR yesterday. I bet you felt good all over when you realized all you accomplished.

Today is the last work day before Xmas. It has been slow this week. Hope today will be the same. We are having a lunch today, and probly a longer lunch time.

Stay safe, dry and warm.

Hugs

LISA

Good Morning Illinois!

Well, be careful out there as we go through a myraid of weather over the next few days.  For those of you traveling, safe travel.

Crystal, glad you had an uneventful trip...I thought I faintly heard a horn!  LOL.  How long does it take when you take 47 instead of the Interstate?

Lisa, you are about right.  If it's not done by now, it prbly doesn't need to be done!...That being said, I'm finishing up just a few items for my dinner today.

Randy Hurrah for you.  What wonderful accomplishments for you, and MORE to come in the New Year!!  How exciting.

I was planning to take all day off today, but our commericial insurance bids are due for the end of the year and this was the time one of the agents could be here.  So I am here, but after we are done around 9 or so, I think I may sneak out!

Everyone have a super duper pre Christams Eve day!

Randy - sounds like you had a great day!  congratulations

I've been MIA the last couple of weeks finishing up school for winter break.  I've been so busy that I've only been on the computer for work or checking emails.  I'm glad to be off of work for a couple of weeks.  :)

I'm doing really well after surgery.  I've lost about 15lbs. and have been shopping in my closet, which has been a lot of fun.

Have a great day IL!

Good Morning!

Today is our Christmas Eve since Nic goes to his other house tomorrow.  So Santa makes a special trip tonight and we wake up to gifts tomorrow morning.  I had an unfill last week and it was very painful.  It seems that my port is hiding under my rib cage since my stomach now goes in instead of out.  But after 4 pokes, the doctor found it and removed about a centemeter.  I'm still tight, but not as bad as it was before.  I'm still very restricted, but we'll see how this goes for a while.  I've joined the local Chamber of Commerce and started going to a networking group, so New Era Health Therapy is off and running.  Hopefully the business will start making me an income quickly.  The wood art is in hibernation for the next month or so since the gift season is slowing down.  Have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Good morning Illinois!!

Today is finally a day off for me.  We had our Christmas party for work on Sunday and it was fun.  I ate my protein first and really didn't feel like I was missing out on anything.  Today I'm baking cookies in the hopes that the weather doesn't keep my brothers and sisters from meeting at my parents tonight.  It's the last night we'll probably all be able to be together before my brother and his family head back to Maryland.  This will only be the third time I've seen my niece since she was born almost a year ago.  My girls are looking forward to it as well.

I did have a nice surprise when I got dressed for the party on Sunday.  I put on a shirt that doesn't stretch around the waist and it wasn't even tight on me.  When I sat down, it didn't pull or anything either...so that was a bonus!  :)

Well, I do hope that anyone who ventures out today stays safe!  Have a wonderful day everyone!!

 Good Morning Randy and Illinois!

Randy, WOW you had a fantastic day yesterday!  So many accomplishments.  What a wonderful feeling that must have been!

Crystal, glad you have your daughter home safe and snug.  Driving in horrible weather is no fun.

Paul, enjoy your Christmas celebration tomorrow.

For everyone else, you all sound really busy with great success stories for our newer post ops.  Congratulations.  Remember to spend the time with family and enjoy them this season.  You can't replace that time.

For me, I have a snow day lol.  I was supposed to go to a doctor appointment and get my car serviced about 1/2 hour away but waking up to the ice, I cancelled everything.  I do NOT want to have to explain to my Ortho doctor what I was doing out if I should slip or twist my knee.    Appointments can be rescheduled.  So, I am sitting in my pj's with no special plans.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are out and about, BE CAREFUL!

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

It sounds like you had a great day yesterday Randy!  I always say that I did not know how bad I felt until I began to feel better!

I had a very eventful morning.  I had the kids with me since they are working at the museum today.  I went my usual route out of habit, which is a VERY rural road.  We were talking and I was not thinking that the roads would be bad.  It turns out that there were areas that were drifted over.  I got through most of them, but got totally stuck in one that was aver a foot deep.  I was buried in the middle of the road!!!!  I called Todd, who came to help and also got stuck!!!!

We called a friend who called some other friends and they came with a plow and a shovel and dug us out.  I was way over an hour late for work, but am thankful for cell phones and good neighbors!

Hopefully, we will have no problems getting home.

We are having a Christmas luncheon today, so our work is about finished.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas if I do not get on here before then!

Tell someone that you love them!
