Good Morning Illinois,

I don't know about you, but we got about 3 inches  of the white stuff last night. So be careful when you go out this morning. The weatherman said it can be icy on the roads today. Crystal, Sherri and Dawn. Janet too, watch those country roads.

Yesterday we were slow at work, hopefully, it will be that way again. Espeacially if the weather doesn't want to cooperate.

Are you ready for Xmas? It is upon us. If you don't have it yet, you don't need it.

Stay SAFE and warm today. Don't forget your boots.

Hello everyone

Today is my last day at work!!!  I will have 5 days off. 

I am picking up my daughter at school today...after work I'm leaving.  Pray I get there in one piece.  The snow is supposed to stop and clear up by this afternoon.  So I am hoping the roads will be clear by the time I'm driving down there.  I usually take RT47 down there but I'm thinking that I'm going to take 80 to 57 (because I'm thinking it will be safer).  Does anyone know if these roads are usually in good condition after a snow? 

Tomorrow I am going grocery shopping.  I always bake on Christmas Eve.  Other than that I have been ready for Christmas for a month now.  Christmas came fast this year.

I take I 57 to Champaign to Mahomet all the time.  THat is where my Chloe and her mom live.  THey do keep the interstate clear....I live in Manteno, which is an exit off of I 57, so if you go by tonight, honk at me!  LOL  The only thiing I'm going to say, is once you get south of Kankakee, it's pretty much farmland!  Gilman is a big exit, Rantoul has a lot of places to stop, and that's about it!  You've prbly gone 57 before.  I have also taken 47 but it is only 2 lanes and lots of towns inbetween.  Good luck, whichever way you go!  At least you'll have your daughter as company driving home (and you can even make her drive!  )  BE safe!  From an I 57 traveler, once you get to Manteno, it's about an hour and 20 mins to Champaign.

Good morning Lisa, Hey Look two day in a row I  have posted, lol I am trying any way I made it to the Rockford group last night and it was just the three for us, I sure missed everyone  but we know that this is a busy time for everyone, so next month we need to make it a good group,
We too got the snow, Jim took my car this morning and left me his, as it is 4 wheel drive and mine is not very good in the snow, He is such a sweetie,

Well Work for me today and the rest of the week. Then I have a 3 day weekend YEA, cant wait for that,

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

I made it into work today, only 15 minutes late.  That is a big surprise as the roads were not cleared out by my house so it was very slow going.  Highway 20 was not too bad though.

I did not make it to Rockford's group last night and I really miss everyone too.  I had to go back into Dakota to get Liv, and then I needed a nap.  Hopefully, by next month, I will be able to stay awake that late.

I have a few presents to wrap and Liv has been doing a great job on the neighbor's treats and I really appreciate her help.  I need to figure out how to wrap a tamborine so that it does not jingle......

Good Morning, ILLINOIS!

50 miles South of Chicago, I was pretty surprised to see the snow, too.  I think we have about 2" or so. Looks like it has stopped now.  Hoping that we don't get the mess they are predicting for Christams/eve/day.  Amy and Chloe are coming up to Manteno Christmas Eve if the weather is ok and we are headed to Mahmoet on Christmas day.  I'm also the custodian at our church, so hoping the weather is decent for people coming out for our 10 pm service!

Going to brave Walmart after work...I know, I know, crazy girl!  They have such good grocery prices, there are some items I need to pick up, but then I plan on being DONE!  My BFF, Bet is coming over after I get home and helping me wrap.  I ordered most of Chloe's presnts from me and from her and her husband, and also ordered a printer from them for AMy!  So her help will be appreciated!  I'll crank up the Christmas music and we'll be done in no time.

I work today and half a day tomorrow and then I'm off until next Monday!  Yippee.

Sherry is home all week and is driving me crazy.  This is supposed to be my space.  She is taking the recycling down and then we are going down to Macy's on State.
