trying to get a psych evaluation done

Just wondering if anyone else ha**** this MAJOR road block??  I am on the Allkids care program and live in southeastern part of the state...............to put it lightly, there are more cows here than people, and not a psych who accepts illinois public aid less that 3hours away that does the evaluations.........and not only that but i have been told that even if i travel that far for the evaluation there will be a good chance that they will not end up doing it because I live out of a 60 mile radius..........Anyone have any suggestions or having the same trouble???  PS. i am going to the SMM Weightloss Institute in St.Louis, Mo (which is 3 hours away) for the surgery

Can your surgeon's office help with this?  They should know or have on staff, someone who can help.

I also live in a place where there is more corn than people (maybe cows too)....but I am at the very north end of the state.....;-)

i say just take the drive and make a day and night of it if you can.  i work at a hotel and i am happy to let you use my room rate discount, send me a msg if you need it, thanks and good luck.

I know ins sucks, i had to change my HMO to a PPO i am lucky i caught it during open enrollment instead of having to wait till june to change plans.
