Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Well the week is half over and next week I only have to work two days!!!  My daughter comes home next week too.  So I have a lot to look forward to. 

This weekend I'm going out to see The Lovely Bones.  It was a great book, one of my favorite books.  This Friday is the Christmas party at work.  So that will be fun.  They feed us lunch and we do a Secret Santa gift exchange.

Good Morning Illinois!

Well, looking at the posts for the last few days, we all must be busy!  Crystal, sounds like you are going to be able to head into some good time off with your daughter.  Have fun.

Sherry, have a great Christmas!

I've been busy at work and home!  Had a party last Thurs and another this Thurs.  Taking half a day off on Thurs.  to get wound up!  Went out to dinner with a friend last night and we had our Christmas Exchange.  Going to a friend's house on Saturday night and we'll have dinner and a little gift exchange. I'm having Christmas Eve dinner and then going to Mahomet for Christmas Day to watch Chloe open her Santa gifts, and then having a meal and our Christmas exchange.  Busy time of year,

One of my best friends lost her brother last week and the funeral was Monday.  He was only 61, but had some health problems that just got him down.  I lost my dear sister in February of this year, and so Christmas is a very emotional time this year.  We were very close and I miss her so much.  She was only 59...would have been 60 in Nov.  Small community, of course my friend who lost her brother and my sister were also dear friends.  There were 4 of us who always got together.  We played cards, laughed and sang together. We all go to the same church.  It is hard on all of us this year.  I know there are many people in the same situation.  It is hard at the holidays.  Prayers for all of us!

Well, just busy doing the Christmas stuff.  Hope everyone is doing well and the new surgeries are all feeling great.

I am so sorry about your sister and your friend.  Yes, that first Christmas is rough.  Just focus on the good times and Christmas's you were able to share together.  I dread the day of losing one of my sisters.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  

nancy, there are TONS of wonderful memories, that is for sure.  However, you're right the first one is the hardest.  I was in the Hallmark store buying cards the other day and walked by the Sister christmas cards and tears started streaming down my face.  You know those darn Hallmark cards can make you cry, but I hadn't even READ one!  LOL  geo

Thanks for letting us know about that movie Crystal!  Maybe I can sneak it in.  I also loved that book!  I really do not see a lot of news or "current events" so I am glad that you told us!  Sounds like you have lots to look forward to.

I am working today, then home to bake the blondies that I did not get to last night.  By the time I got home last evening, I needed a nap.  My body is still a little low on energy and not quite used to full days.

I guess I need to figure out what our Christmas meal will be.  We usually have prime rib that I save from the half a beef we get each year in November, but this year, out beef will not even get to the processor until Dec. 23.  I will figure something out.  I did all my shopping online, so I am just waiting for delivery.

Am I the ONLY one who is having problems with OH????  I type, then all of a sudden, the typing stops and then half of the last sentence is highlighted and everything stops for 2-3 minutes.--Due to that, I am signing off for now.......

 Good Morning Crystal and Illinois Friends!

Everyone is so busy!  I almost feel guilty staying at home but I must say I am enjoying every minute of it.  It is nice to have leisurely days.  But time still goes by fast.  I have physical therapy later this morning so it seems like there is always something to do.  

I know it is COLD outside this morning.  BRRR.  When I went outside to feed the cats I was amazed at how cold it was.  Stay warm.  Hope everyone has a great day!
