Happy Friday Roll Call
Yeah!!! It's Friday. I have some errands to run today after work: Mejier, Target, Discount tires (to get my tires rotated), Walgreen's, gas station. I want to do all my running around because I don't plan on leaving the house till Monday. I'm spending my weekend making cookie dough and freezing it. I'm sick of this weather already.
Yesterday, I had to watch a 2 1/2 hour long training video on harassment in the work place. All managers are required to watch it and then take a test. It was really boring. I was surprised to find out if you are off the clock and a group of people from work go to a bar down the street. If you make any off color remarks it is still considered workplace harassment. That is weird because your not at work.
I just realized I forgot my breakfast...darn it.
Well have a very Merry Friday!!!
Crystal, I know there are some things we have to endure as management. You'll get used to it over time. Sounds like you have a lot of running around today. Be careful in those parking lots. They are hideous at this time of the year. People are so impatient!
Today I have a management party after work at Wildfire. I am taking mom with me as I can bring a guest. She enjoys the night out, so why not?
Tomorrow is my 6 week since I fractured my wrist. Monday is my follow-up appointment with the ortho doc.
YAY!! I hope to have some good news. Maybe I can sleep without the splint on.
Tomorrow I am going with a friend to the Blue Chip casino in Michigan City. We are going to a live Christmas concert and will see Wyonna. It will be a fun trip as we are spending the night at the hotel and returning on Sunday.
Hope everyone is staying warm, safe and healthy.
Hugs,
Lucy
Think of me as you dine on the good stuff tonight. I am going to Baker's Square with the hubby and kiddos tonight. While I don't love their food, their Candy Cane Pie is my favorite holiday treat, though.
Stay warm and safe everybody!

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!
HW: 344 lbs CW: 150 lbs
Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
I feel for ya....2.5 HOURS???? That's nuts. Congratulations on staying awake! ;-)
I am working today, then a quick stop at the store for eggs and milk. I am making meat loaf tonight. Tomorrow, the kids have rehearsal and I have volunteered to help sew costumes. I hope I do a good job, my sewing skills are a bit rusty.
I think we will get our tree and house decorated this weekend. WE always wait until AFTER Todd's birthday so that the two events do not have to be shared. Sometime, I regret making that promise over 23 years ago.......
I think I might start working on some baking also.
I wish everyone an excellent day!
good morning,
My day is off and running already. I have cleaned 2 bedrooms, changed beds, and picked up the rec room. I need to clean the kitchen also. I also have cookie dough in the frig, ready to bake. Plus we have some errands to run today. I'm already worn out.
Everyone seems like they have thier weekend planns planned. Lucy, your weekend sounds like a lot of fun.
Dawn, hope you get your Christmas stuff up.
Crystal. making the dough early is a great timesaver. Its easy to prepare a tray whenever you need to, and they are always fresh.
The sun is out, but it is still bitter out there. Please dress warm, and stay safe.
Happy Haanukah!!!!

What an active group this morning! I am exhausted reading what you have already accomplished or have going on today. Maybe it is because my physical therapist has already been here and kicked butt this morning. I need to hire him to be my personal trainer at the Y. He really cracks the whip! My leg is killing me! I am using muscles I have not used in years.
Crystal, we just had to do a video on harrassment and take a test. Fortunately ours was only an hour long. I feel for you.
Lisa, if you want to expend some of that excess energy, you can always come to LaSalle.

Lucy, your plans sound like so much fun. Dawn, I can understand regrets of delaying putting up Christmas until now. That really pushes everything. It would be nice to be able to do it at a more relaxed pace.
For me, no special plans, face book plus I need to get my Christmas letter done and my presents wrapped and sent.
Have a great day!

It feels so good to be off work for today and the next three days! I'm glad to be back at work, but the 12 hour shifts are kicking my butt! After working Tues/Wed. I slept in until 11:00 yesterday. Steve was very sweet and got Emily off to school so I could rest.
Lucy, enjoy your wonderful weekendl. I saw Wynonna in concert once, she was AMAZING! Dawn, I always try to wait until after Steve's B-Day (today) to do Christmas decorations also, but he truely doesn't care, so it really just depends on my work schedule. We have our tree and we will have a little family party with hot chocolate and decorate after church on Saturday evening. I cherish this time with Emily. She's growing up so fast.
Lisa, are you enjoying your new car? Nancy, I'm with you about physical therapy. This summer I was just drenched with sweat after my sessions. It sure helps, though! Crystal, what a great idea about making and freezing the cookie dough. I was wondering what to do since I work all next weekend and want the cookies to be fresh for Christmas.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
