Good Morning.

I hope everyone survived the wind, and snow yesterday. We got a dusting, but with the blowing, it was horrid .
Today it is cold. Please dtrss for the weather.

So what do you do when it is snowing and blowing out? You pick up your new crossover Chevy. Yes we got it. The worst day of the year.

today is a work day for me. I am only glad thet I will be in town,

We have really enjoyed our Equinox.  I hope you enjoy your new Chevy as much.  It is time for me to go to work so I can afford the little repairs and not set up big repairs as are common to five year old vehicles.

A new car...how wonderful!
It is frigid out there...the poor dog needs to poop and its too cold for her to go. She just wants to come back in the house....poor thing!
I need to run a few errands today. I will do them after lunch when it warms up a little.

Good morning LIsa and the rest of Illinois!

We ALL stayed in for a snow day yesterday.  When we got up, there was about a foot of snow on the ground and it was still snowing!  It took Todd and hour and a half with the snowblower and two neighbors with plows to clear our driveway.  It was just ot worth trying to drive into town.

Today, the roads are fine and there was not even any of the blowing and drifting that we were told to expect!

I got my new computer set up and put my older one downstairs for the kids.  They are very happy.  Their old computer was VERY slow.

I am working today and need to stop by Old Navy to see if they have any of the $15 boots left in Liv's size.  She really needs a pair of warm boots and she has passed me up in show size so we can't share any more.  I now have the smallest feet in my family.  Liv and I can still share clothes though.

Glad to see that Nancy is home recovering, hoping things are better for Lucy and also hoping things went well for Stacy.

I am keeping you all in my thoughts, each and every day!

Good morning everyone.

I've been extra careful in driving and walking. I'm still in a partial splint. My left fingers are swollen and hurt. I am trying to elevate my hand at work but it is hard. Now, my employee is sick and has been off for 2 days. We are so far behind at work.

 Good Afternoon everyone!

It has been a busy morning for me.  I was awakened by the phone   with the home health nurse asking to come for a visit in an hour.  So I finally got the nerve to leave my warm, cuddly bed and get dressed.  She came and I finally fed the outdoor cats and had breakfast.  I developed some blisters from the support hose rubbing on the back of my leg.  Guess I am allergic to the elastic band.

Then the physical therapist came around noon.  His response to my progress was really amazing.  I guess I am doing very good!  I was also ahead of the game with my right knee.  There is a reason that I went to a doctor that is ranked in the top 5% of orthopedic surgeons for joint replacements in the country.  I have a very good bend with flexibility.  It's good to know that things are progressing so well.  Torture will continue tomorrow bright and early at 8am.    The cats love to help me do my physical therapy so it always gets interesting.  

I have only stuck my nose outside to feed the outdoor cats.  I did not see them at supper time last night and their food was frozen but they were there this morning and the dried food had been eaten.  I feel sorry for them.  Brrrr.  

Lisa, so happy for you on your new car.  Enjoy it!  Glad you are not on the road today.  For the others, drive safely and stay warm!  Baby, it is cold out there!  

Good afternoon everyone!!

It is another day off for me, and although I'm happy about that, I am not happy that I have to work the weekend.  I really dislike retail!  At least my hubby and I get to spend a day off together...that's rare for us.

Not much going on today.  I work the next five days, so I've been trying to relax and get some things done around the house.  Yesterday I baked some cookies and I didn't even try a lick of the batter, which is a accomplishment for me...especially with the chocolate chip cookies.  The girls enjoyed them and that is why I made them.  This weekend we're getting together with my brother's in-laws and we're making tamales and having a little party for my niece.  Hoping I can stick to the all protein diet while I'm there. 

Congrats to Lisa on her new car!!  And Nancy, I am glad that you're recovery is coming along very well!!  Take care everyone!!
