Cookie hints

Just a few hints I have found over the years when making cookies this time of year.

You donot have to use vanilla. It you want something else, use it.

If it calls for orange peel, and you have lemons, do the switch. Noone will know.

If it is a big receipe,  and it calls for icing the cookies, use a glaze instead. Saves a few calories.

Use more then one frosting on the same batch. (!/2 chocolate and 1/2 white. The same with  decorations. It looks like you made a lot more then you did.

Use Splenda instead of sugar. For brown sugar, use 1/2 or a bit less, and mix it with splenda. You don't have to buy it already mixed.

For cinnamon sugar, use splenda instead. No one will know.

Within a few days after the holiday, get rid of any cookies that left. We don't need them.

Good tips, Lisa, thanks!  I'll use them in the future.  I've decided I'm going to pass on the cookie making since I just had surgery...don't need the temptation!

Thanks Lisa!  Those are all great hints!  I will be printing them out.

Tell someone that you love them!
