Good morning Illinois friends.

I have to try and keep this brief as my typing is hard to do.

Hope you all survive the blanket of snow this morning. Ugh, but we have to get through the winter and then spring comes again.

I'm back at work and it was a long day for me. Got home after 9 pm since there was a party.

Almost at week 5 with my fractured wrist. YAY!!

So what is going on with you?

If I don't post back to your reply. sorry but it is hard for me to do.....

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning everybody,

Just got to work and man oh man was it cold today. Got my first real glimpse of snow for this winter up by work, looks like Northern Illinois actually got some snow to stick. Other then that, looking forward to getting through the day and getting my butt into the gym.

Have a good one,
Omar

Hello everyone

Yeah!!! It's Friday!!!!  Not to mention we are getting closer to Christmas!!!  I can't wait.  My daughter will be visiting again.  I haven't talked to her much.  She is one big ball of stress, finals are coming.

No snow for us over here Lucy...thank God.

I have a long day here at work and some errands to run.  Then I get to go home and relax.  This weekend I want to get my daughter's presents wrapped.  Everyone else's presents are wrapped and under the tree.  My daughter still likes for me to wait to put her presents under the tree till Christmas Eve night.  She's still a little kid at heart (kind of like her mom).

Have a wonderful day.

Lucy,

You likely type better with a broken wrist than I do with two healthy wrist,  I took a typing course when I was in college to try and save a bit on hiring typist for my major papers.  I got up to forty words per minute for a timed test but that was physical torture as my arms shoulders just do not turn the way a regular key board are designed.  About six months ago I bought the newest version of Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing but the physical torture was just too much and I could not get myself broken of my own system for typing which maxes me out at about fifteen words per minute.  At least with it though I can type much longer.  I recently bought a Microsoft super duper ergonomic keyboard and can sit for hours now with my fingers resting on the home row.  Learning to actually use the touch method is coming very slowly though.

So you have been forgiven?

Good morning Lucy and Illinois!

BRRRRR! It is a cold one this morning. I'm just not ready for this, but will survive.

I've already been to Jewel. I'm making a pot of chili for the lady upstairs family. She is 89 years old and is home from the hospital with hospice. I feel like I need to do something for them at this time. Today I will be cleaning house and then getting all the baking supplies ready for tomorrow. Not much else on the agenda.

Hope you all have a great day! Keep warm!

Lucy, so sorry about your wrist.  :(

I'm not doing so hot.  I've had a couple rough days after surgery.  First, it was the gas pains.  I thought I was going to come out of my skin.  Then, it was the nausea.  I talked with the surgeon's PA yesterday and she seems to think that I might have become lactose intolerant.  So, I've replaced dairy with Lactaid.  I'm hungry and nauseous at the same time.  And I'm hungry almost immediately after I eat.  And not just some friendly little stomach rumbles, it hurts!

I've been burping, but it feels like I'm stretching the stomach against the band and that hurts.

I'm just one big mess!  :)

Good Morning,

I put this in a bit ago, and it didn't take, not sure why.

I did get all the baking supplies yesterday, and sometime over the  weekend, I will start the baking.

My furniture will come today, at some time. I am going to the regular store this morning. I haven't gone in 2 weeks.

I hope everyone stays warm today, and safe.

Hugs

Lisa

Good morning!

Lucy, the wrist will surely be better soon and once it's healed it could be stronger than before, mine was! Don't worry about replaying to each person. There is no need to do that.

I am back at the office today waiting for a client. The appointment was rescheduled and so I had a chance to have a quick visit with some old friends in other departments. That made for a fun time.

We had about a half inch of snow in Rockford but the streets are all dry now. It just looks a lot more like Christmas!

Have a good day friends,

Connie

Good morning Lucy and Illinois friends.   I am glad I dont have to worry about the weather the next month    Snow is a 4 letter word in my book   I  am giving the doctors a run for thier money as I keep spiking a fever and there arswers.  They ar keeping e until Sunday which is fine by me as lomg as I do not get the same blood drawer from the lab.  I have requested she not return as shwis incomprtrnt.  I just added a radiologist to my list who does not believe in  locking wheelchairs nor etting me use my walker!  He said he did not want me to fall!  Well when you needsomething stable to hang on to you are asking for a disaster!

Hello Illinois....

One month from today I will be going in for my surgery. Today I am so excited!!!! Lat month was horrible with all the second guessing myself, etc. Now I am just exicted and waiting for the day to come. I suspect it will be here before I know it.

I live in NW Indiana and we got no snow, I work in Chicago and it was freezing walking from the train station to my building. I am definitely not ready for the cold weather. Every year I tell myself that this is my last Chicago winter and here I am. Oh well.....

I hope everyone has a good weekend. It's my daughter's 14th birthday so we are going to dinner tomorrow. Can't believe my baby is so old.
