Georgie- isn't it wonderful to do something just because you can?
WooHoo for you!!!!!
The first time I was able to sit and cross my legs at the knee not the ankles I did it often just because I could!

Good morning Carol and the rest of Ilinois!

I know about houseparty.com!  Amber came to my house for an "Avocados from Mexico" party and we had fun.  She got a cutting board and we all got chip clips and coupons.  We tried a couple of new recipes and took pictures.  It was fun.  I was going to sign up for the cookie one, but was not sure how I would be feeling.

I am at work this morning, but planning on going home by 1.  By the time I got home yesterday, I was in so much pain I could barely move and I got the Oxycodone out.  I think I have been over doing it a bit.  I actually brought that pain medicine to work and took one right after I got here.  It should wear off by 12 or 1 so I can drive home.

SO glad to see that Nancy is doing well along with Sue.......where is Tanya?

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

We hadn't done a house party in a while so I thought what better way to get together with a few friends....they really are fun. I hope everyone gets a chance to see what they have to offer.

Good morning everyone!!

It's another day off for me today and it's been kinda nice so far.  I don't have much planned.  Picking up the girls after school while my daughter's car is in the shop...hopefully we hear what the damage will be today.  I'm planning on at least ten minutes on the treadmill this evening...if I can do more, I will.  This is a busy weekend coming up for my family.  Saturday we're going to a Christmas tree farm for our tree and then it will be off to my mom and dad's to decorate theirs.  They love having the grand kids there.  Sunday I work and right after we're all going to watch my daughter's holiday band concert.  My mom, dad and sisters usually come out and then we all go out to eat in town...I need to take a look at the menu to see what will be good for me to have at this stage of my diet.  It's going to be a lot of fun, no matter what I eat though!

I do hope everyone stays warm today and has a great one!!

Hi everyone,

Had my 1 month checkup yesterday and so far so good. I still have one incision that hasn't closed up yet but the doc said it should start to close really soon. I was given the green light to start exercising so off I go to the gym today for what I hope is a long and happy relationship. I plan on taking it easy for this first week to see how my body reacts. No plans on running yet but I want to make sure that I at least get in 30 mins of walking. I can't wait until this last incision closes up and I can go full bore. Not much else going on. I hope everyone has a good one.

Thanks
Omar

Great to see your healing is coming to an end soon. Don't over do it at the gym....take it slow, you don't want any setbacks.

My wife said the same thing, I feel like I got a new pair of running shoes but I have to sneak around in them.

Good Morning Everyone,
I haven't been around for awhile.  I have been working and not feeling really well.  My mom (age 54) has j informed me that she has put her house on the market today so she can move in with my husband and I.  I think she is lonely living by herself now that my brother rarely comes home from college.  She wants to give us $500 a month to help out and she will help keep the house clean and make dinner if I work late.  I can't tell her no because she is my mother.  It is just going to be a big change.  I have not lived with her since I was 18 and I am now 34.  Hopefully it will solidy our mother/daughter relationship a little better and I won't always have to worry about her since I will see her all the time.  She is on disability for Fibromyalgia and Bipolar disorder.  I think alzhiemers is also setting in.  She also suffers from a mild form of agoraphobia and she will not go anywhere without taking valium.  Hopefully things will get better living with us.

Enough for my venting, I thought I better get things off my chest because I have gained some weight since this all came down on me and I noticed I was eating emotionally.

Have a great day everyone

Sheri

It's okay to vent here...sometimes we need to just get something off our chest. I hope things work out for you and your mother.
