Imagine my surprise when I get on here at 8AM and no one has posted.
Not much on the agenda today...gym and getting ready for my Betty Crocker House Party on Saturday. I will be making sugar cookies for the children to decorate.

What's on your agenda?
Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning Carol and Illinois Friends

It is great to be awake long enough to post on roll call!  Carol.  what is a Betty Crocker party?  Sounds interesting.

I guess I am doing great according to my doctor.  They keep threatening to kick me out tomorrow but I am not ready.  I have them convinced to keepme until Saturday or Sunday.  ust because I can get out of bed does not mean I am ready to go home.    We do not have the pain under control yet.  The results are well worth it but it takes a few weeks to really get moving again.

Happy Friday Eve everyone.  Have a great day!

Hi Nancy! Glad your feeling better even if you are not ready to go home.

My daughter hooked me up with a website called Houseparty.com
The manufacturers send you stuff to have a party. It is all for promoting their merchandise. She had a velveeta cheese party. The date was on Superbowl. You invite people and they provided her with recipes, 2# loaf of velveeta cheese. They gave each attendee coupons, recipes, and a container to store the cheese in. You take pictures and download them to the website. They always have a promotion going on.
If your having company for the superbowl anyway what harm is there.

I got an email about 6-8 weeks ago about the Betty Crocker House Party. I applied and was accepted. They sent me 2 packages of cookie mix and a $15 gift card to purchase more cookie dough and sprinkles, etc to decorate the cookies. They also sent plates, napkins, cups. I went on the website to see what the favors were and printed them out. As the hostess I get an apron and a cookie magazine. My guests will receive a red Betty Crocker spoon, recipes, coupons and a pad of paper for the refrigerator with the betty crocker logo. What a way to start the holiday baking! You can also go on the website for ideas.

Check it out when you have time.........

Good Morning Carol. Your Betty Crocker party sounds like a lot of fun. I will be baking some this week too, but with no help from the younger set. Not my oldest one either( DH). He would have the cookie dough eaten before the cookies are even made.

I am heading for Aldi's after work. I want to get baking stuff, and its the cheapest in town for it.

I am at work, so can't spend a lot of time here. So,

Stay warm, stay safe,
HUGS

I've made the sugar cookies ahead of time so the kids can decorate them. I also made extras just for them to eat! When I made my own no one helped so I didn't have to worry about anyone eating the cookie dough!

Good Morning Carol and Illinois!

CArol, your party sounds like fun.  Nancy, take it easy, glad your surgery went well.  HOpe you feel better really soon!

I had my first fill yesterday.  Dr. said he put in 3.8 cc and I notice it some, although I really wasn't too hungry before, hopefully it'll hold me.  Since my preop diet (2 wks before surgery) I have lost 26 lbs.  Gotta work on my ticker to reflect that!

I had a NSV yesterday...when I got home, I went to change into my "play clothes" and I pulled my zip.button dockers off without zipping or unbuttoning them!  LOL.  I did it 3 times, just because I COULD.  (Guess I need some new pants!)  I am loving how I am feeling.  So far haven't had any super cravings (I know they'll come) not have I been super hungry (I know that might come) but I'm taking all the advantages of this while I can.

Today at work, I am in charge of our Employee Christmas Luncheon.  A local restaurant caters Turkey and all the trimmings, and I order/picked up pies from Bakers Square.  I'll maybe munch on a little turkey, but should be good.

Hope everyone has a super day!

Georgie
