Monday Morning Roll Call

 Good Morning Illinois Friends!

Well, it is back to reality after a few days off for most everyone.  It is always hard to get back into groove after a holiday especially one that ends up being a long weekend.  I hope everyone had a good one. 

I really enjoyed my time in Florida, even if it was cold.  I got back into town about 1 pm Sunday.  Got my laundry done, mail gone through and papers read.  Plus spent time catching up on Internet sites.  

Tomorrow is another crazy day.  I have a dentist appointment at 7:45 am.  I will find out if he is going to end up pulling some teeth.  If that is the case, surgery will probably definitely be off.  It just doesn't seem like this is destined to happen.  I have changes in my EKG and now my cardiologist is making all kinds of noises and wanting to do a stress test before surgery.  My internist does not thing the changes are very great so I am really ticked off.  He has had 6 months to do this test and was letting it ride.  NOW he decides it must be done.  The kicker is was my internist was supposed to make an appointment for me tomorrow and my phone messages make it sound like they (the cardiologist) have no clue that that was supposed to happen nor were they told I was out of town.  Sigh.  I have another call into my internist to complain about the lack of communication his staff has with others.  They just cant get things straight.  They sent my records to the wrong neurosurgeon after doing a referral.  I am about ready to tear my hair out.    It sounds like if I have my surgery Tuesday it will be a miracle.  I am so disappointed.  I am so tired of hurting.  But, my hands are tied.  We will see what tomorrow brings.

Hello everyone

I can't believe how fast that weekend flew by.  I had a lot of fun.  Now back to work....Good news is that I have a 5 day weekend coming up for Christmas!!!  I can't wait.

While my daughter's boyfriend was at my house he fixed my computer, the color on my TV and my stove clock.  WOW!!!  I forgot how nice it was to have a handy guy around the house.  I really like him.   

I have already did some "cyber Monday" shopping.  I know I said I was done with my shopping but how can you turn down such good deals.  Just like I got a coupon for Bath & Body that I want to use.  Now to sit around and wait for Christmas.  I'm like a little kid and I can't wait for Christmas!!!

Nancy- I hope everything works out for you.  Here's to hoping you have your surgery!!!

Its back to work for most of us today. If you were able to wrangle Monday off too.............

I hope Sheri's house is feeling better today. It is always bad when you are sick over a holiday weekend.

We got home ftrom St. Louis about 2 yesterday. I am glad we go back to work this morning to relax. We spent the weekend moving my cousin jnto a rettirement community. I was able to spend some time with my 2 best friends as well. Now, it is time to go back to work.

Nancy - I am so sorry that you are going through this and being in pain. Nothing is worse than pain. I pray it works out for you.

Soon I'm off to therapy for my wrist. Two more weeks of wearing a full splint! YAY! Going back to work on Thursday, and wouldn't you know it - expected snow on Thursday morning. Ugh!! I have 2 parties this week, Thursday and Saturday evenings.

Today looks like a nice and sunny day.

I guess it is my turn now to repeat back the advice I was getting when this sort of thing was annoying me.  Your heart is important and you want to live past this operation so know that your best interest in play by both those who are caring for you and by the universe in which the muckity mucks yuck it up while sending the wrong papers to wrong places.

Good morning Nancy and Illinois!

Nancy...my thoughts are with you but things happen for a reason. I'm sorry your in pain but it is better to be safe than sorry.

I'm also thinking of our people in surgery today...hoping for a speedy recovery for all.

I just got off the phone with my 2 year old grandson Tyler. He needed to inform me that "he made pee and poop on the potty"  Need to go shopping...time for grandma to send some big boy undies in the mail! They are growing so very quickly.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

Nancy---I hope things are already looking better by now.  Remember......."This too shall pass".  I am sending good mojo your way.

I have a great long weekend.  Did not get enough rest, but I will live.  The dinner at the in-laws was alomost pleasant, more like a family dinner should be.  Maybe there is hope for them yet.

We had my brother, his girlfriend, Amber and her family and our friend from Camaroon out for a huge feast on Saturday.  I started cooking last Wednesday and it was wonderful!  The weather was great and we had a fire in the back yard afterwards.  I did not eat much, but I hardly noticed, with all the activity.  So Heather, if you are reading this, realize that things WILL get better.  It is a process.

I am working short hours today and tomorrow.  I go up to Madison tomorrow for my 6 week follow-up after this last surgery.  Hopefully, I will be cleared to return to "normal" whatever that is.  It has been a long road and I am still recovering, but I am greatful that I had all of you sending me healing thoughts and listening to me when I needed to vent.  Thank you ALL.

I am thinking of Sue and Tanya and sending healing thoughts to them.
