Thanksgiving Roll Call
Happy Turkey Day everyone! Unless you are the turkey. I am up bright and early surrounded by the delightful voices of 5 kids under 7 years of age. What fun! It iso good to have the family togeter.
I got to meet our two newest additions yesterday. Baby Bobby is such a good baby. And I really like my nieces fiance. Our family just keeps growing. The house is splitting at the seams. Some slept on the boat last night, some went to my cousins and some stayed here. So it is a full house. It is not even 7 am and the smells of Tbhanksgiving our wonderful.
I wish all of you a blessed Thanksgiving. Enjoy time with your families.

We are going to my sister's today, so my workload is all about keeping my kids entertained at her place. Oh, I am making a sweet potato casserole, but that's it. And I bought a floral/candle centerpiece to bring. Easy-peasy.
My sister's inlaws are very odd, but kind people, and they will be there. They are fascinated by my DS, so I know I will have an audience while I eat. They stared at me at the last Mother's Day gathering, which was a BBQ. Oh well, let `em look!
I must admit, I am excited about the food today. I cannot wait for turkey and potatoes (and gravy). And my BIL makes a great stuffing with Italian sausage.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
I am sitting here with my 1st of many cups of coffee. We are expecting Monica and her family for a big holiday breakfast, before we head to Yorkville for the traditional Turkey Dinner.
I haven't been on since Monday. With the new sewer work happening on our street, They somehow cut our phone line, so, no phone, no internet. They were able to fix it sometimes yesterday.
Have a great day, try not to overeat.Stay safe, stay warm.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!
Hugs,
Lisa
I'm thankful for my family, friends and OH family, the blessing I received this year, new opportunities, the time to take care of me and a new life style.
I have made a pumpkin cheesecake using Wildtree pumpkin blend, to take to my parents house today. Where going to have dinner late today.
I wish all of you a blessed Thanksgiving, stay safe and enjoy the precious time with family and friends.
This year I am most grateful for my family, the wonderful people I have met here and for finally realizing that I needed to start taking care of myself and doing it.
We're heading to my mom and dad's for a short visit before we all head over to my aunt's in Chicago. I decided not to take my own dinner and I'm just going to have the turkey with some mayo...that way I don't feel completely removed from the celebration.
I do hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday!!

I'm still on a leave of absence from work. The doc wants me off until 12/3. I am almost 4 weeks since my fracture - will be on Saturday. Still have to wear the hard splint 24/7. Getting occupational therapy for my left hand twice a week.
Today, I am going to Mom's for Thanksgiving dinner - along with my sister and BIL, my brother and my aunt. This will be a hard day for mom as it is her 1st Thanksgiving and holiday without her husband.
I have to wear the splint for another 2 weeks then wear a half of the splint - the bottom part for support temporarily. Sleeping is still problematic; I am spending many nights in my recliner.
I can't wait to get through this phase of my life; then I will work on my physical shape again. 2010 will be my year.
I am thankful for this site and all my friends.
Enjoy your family and friends because you never know; you might not have them next year!
Hugs,
Lucy
This year I'm even more thankful for my surgery and my Illinois friends. You have all been there whenever I was down, when the weight fluctuates, when I'm just not losing. I've enjoyed reading your posts, both good and bad. I know I am not alone in this journey!
Thank you all!
I hope you all enjoy the day wherever you are or with whomever your with, be it friends or family....I hope I make the right choices today when it comes to eating. Once again, Happy Thanksgiving!

It is overcast and dreary up here, typical November weather. The Chgo area it seems received snow but we only had wet soggy rain last night.
