Tuesday Roll Call
Hi everyone,
Working the second shift this week to cover while my co-workers are on vacation. It is very weird to drive home in the dark at 5:30 but I will adjust. So far so good at work, my boss has been really cool about letting me work short hours this week to ease my way back into it. I have been bombarded with questions from co-workers about my procedure and I have been happy to answer any questions they have had. Although I really don't feel it, the scale tells me that I have dropped about 48lbs in the last 5 weeks. twenty five of that since my surgery on 11/2. My wife tells me that she can really see it in my face but I only notice it when I try to wear my old shirts or pants. Go figure...

Yup, they have me scheduled for my 1 month followup at 11 and then the support meeting at noon. I always feel a little ackward in those classes since I always seem to the be the only person with a VSG. Hopefully a few more came on board and Cherise will remember to point out the portions I need to pay attention to.

Good evening everyone!
I went back to work for the first time today and only stayed half the day as I was very tired after about an hour. I came home and napped on the couch for an hour and a half and have felt good ever since. I'm hoping tomorrow goes a little better because then I'll have two days off!!
I was very excited last night when I was finally able to lay on my side and sleep in my own bed!! My pain meds wore off around 2:45am though, and didn't really have time to get back to sleep. But the sleep I got was terrific!!
For Thanksgivng I've got a plan to bring my chicken salad and probably a protein shake, as I can only eat purees until next Tuesday.

Sweet -My Surgery is 6 days away YAY!!!!
Bitter - It will be one year since my gma went home to be with the Lord
I miss her soo much but I know I will see her again.
So make sure you tell everyone that you love them because tomorrow is not promised
