i'm new
HI Tanya! Welcome to OH and the Illinois forum. I am new as well here, a little over a week old, I believe :) I am at the very beginning of my journey, looking to have LapBand. I am in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Anyway, best wishes for your surgery and praying it will be smooth and uneventful :) You are in friendly company and support here...
God bless,
Susan

Hi Tanya. The nerves are normal. Just look at the bright side. In a week or so, you will be joining thousands of others that are on the losers bench. Everyone of us has had issues.
Join us on the daily roll call each day. Its is where we check in on each other, and help each other. You are welcome to join us.

Hi Tanya, Welcome and Congrats! Your time is coming up fast.
We'll save a spot for you on the loser's bench. I just had my lapband on Nov 10th. Going great!
Nerves, as Lisa says, are VERY normal, but everything goes fast and you'll be on the road to recovery very soon.
Please join us for the Daily Roll Call so we can get to know you!

Hey again Tanya
Even tho I haven't been in these ladies shoes (yet) I agree that nerves go with the territory with most surgeries (since I've had others)... and to answer your question, I have gotten info from the insurance co and talk to my PCP... of all dates... the 30th!
So if everything goes smooth with the insurance and three months of their required diet and nutrition program I should be ready to go by early spring.
Again, good luck and keep us informed! You will be fine :)
And, congrats to the other "bandster" ladies on their success!!!!
God bless all,
Susan
