Tuesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Well my fist day of being a manager was busy.  I have some new things I'm learning.  So I can't work as fast as I usually do.  My old job I knew well so I did it sort of mindlessly and quickly.  I stayed late last night to get done with what I was doing.  I'm pretty sure I will be working late again tonight too.  This week is month end and I have two new temps coming and I need to train them.  So I am feeling like I don't have time for everything.  So I won't be able to go to the support meeting tonight.  I have to stay late again.

Well I hope our new losers are doing well.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hi Crystal. I'm sure that you will do just fine with your new position. Prioritizing as a manager is key. Do what is due first. I always plan ahead; the calendar is my organizing friend!

i'M getting stronger day by day. My OT sessions are helpful. Got new finger exercises yesterday.

Today I am working on my eating - making sure to get protein and veggies in. Lots of water too.

Wishing you and everyone a wonderful Tuesday. Good luck to Kathy with her surgery today.

Hugs and Love,

Lucy

Good Morning Crystal and Lucy,
I too am working on more water, protein first.  The farther out you get, the more it seems you have to manage.  I either eat too many carbs that come along with some of my protein choices, and then i slack off on water. I'm did better yesterday.

No major complaints - all is well.

Good morning Illinois!

Just a quick hello.  My first day back at work, and have to do all the catch up stuff! Hope you all have a super day.  Crystal, don't let yourself get overwhelmed.  Remember, this is a new position and you will have lots of things to learn, but you will do fine.  Lucy is right, prioritize.  Whenever I got that overwhelmed feeling, I would take a deep breath and write out a "to do"list in order of priority.  There are always things you can move to "tomorrow".  Then I would get calmer as I crossed the critical stuff off the list!.

Kathy, keeping you in my prayers, and can't wait to hear how things are going for you.

Everyone else, hope you have a super duper day.

Good morning!

Crystal, I like your attitude! A new job IS a chance to learn NEW things. You're going to do great!

Nothing new here--the usual get-the-kids-up-for-school-and-cart-them-around grind. I am extra-emotional today for some reason. I looked at my boys and busted out crying because they are growing so much! Oh, well. Falling in love with your kids is just an occupational hazard of being a parent, I suppose.

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Illinois Buddies,

I'm headed down to Chicago for my endoscopy today.  Keep your fingers crossed that this does the trick for me!  My husband's business trip was extended, so I'm taking the train downtown and then my mom will pick me up and take me home.  Thank goodness for supportive family!

Crystal, good luck with your new responsibilities.  Try not to worry about the learning curve, you'll get used to things in no time.

Lucy, I'm so glad you are feeling better!  You were so right to take the time off work.

Carol, have fun with the grandkids.  Yesterday I spent a few hours playing "dollies" with Emily.  I didn't get anything else done, but it was so worth it.  I feel like I hardly see her anymore now that she's in school all day.

Prayers going out to Kathy.   I wish a great, healthy day to everyone!

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Crystal, you will do great in your new position....you have been qualified for this for a long time.

I went back to work yesterday and worked 4.5 hours.  I needed a nap when I got home.

I had to call up to Madison after I got home as it seems that maybe one of my sets of stiches has torn.  I have to go up today to have it looked at.  I am pretty sad about the whole thing.  This whole surgery has been more of an emotional ride and much harder than I had counted on.

To top that off, I think it is time for a new job.  My boss (also my FIL) does not want to work with me on hours and has told me that I "have no value" to the company at this time.  Bummer.

I am thinking of Kathy today and praying for her and her surgical team.  I'm glad to see that Georgie is doing so well, but sad to see that Lucy is still struggling so much.  I keep each and every one of you in my thoughts each day and only wish the best for everyone.

Have a lovely day,

Tell someone that you love them!
