Monday Roll Call
Happy Middle of November everyone,
I am feeling better from a bladder infection 10 days ago. I got sick on my drive up to Chicago on the 5th, Turned around at the Georgia line and came back home to nurse my ailing self back to some kind of health.
I have been busy crosstitching a sampler for a dorr prize for out family reunion in May. It keeps my hands busy.
I start my new job in the Emergency room sometime next week. I still dont have a date. I am going to call today again and see what is going on.
I am so ready to start working!!!!! Ill be working mostly the swing shift. But I dont mind. It will keep me from over eating!!!!!
I cant wait for T-giving. We are going out with 10 cousins that live in the area. I only wish my daughter and her boyfriend could come this year. But she cant take time offf work.

My weekend went by way too fast. Now I will wait not so patiently for my next weekend. My daughter will be coming to visit soon. I can't wait. I also started decorating for Christmas.
Today is the first official day as Manager. I will also start getting my manager pay starting today.
I wish Kathy lots of luck with her surgery. I will be saving you a spot on the loser's bench.

I agree, the weekend went by too quickly. I'm looking forward to Wednesday, my next day off. :) I have my preop testing early in the morning, which should leave the rest of the day to myself.
Today is the second day of liquid diet. I'm having some issues, but not with the taste of the shakes or anything like that. It is more my cravings for food and needing a hit. It makes you realize that there is more to this that overeating, which I really knew already, but it is a good reminder. Got to make an appt. with Dr. Crane!

I still have cravings like that. At least 3 nights a week on the way home I think.. hrmm I could just stop at and get dinner, wow that sounds good. Then I realize that even if I did 1. my son doesnt like fast food. 2. I couldnt eat whatever I got and 3. Im not even hungry when I am thinking these things!

Its another work week for me. Also another week of the city redoing our sewer system the entire lenght of our street. I love waking up to the sound of big road machines going up and down the street. Oh well, its all for the good of the city.

Today is just occupational therapy and home. It's just over 2 weeks since I fractured my wrist.
Getting tired of wearing this hard splint that fits like a clamshell.
Best wishes to our upcoming surgicals.
Georgie and Omar - hope you both are doing well.

No doc appointmemt until next Monday.

I'm getting ready to head to Joliet for my staple removal appt. Then I think I'll go to Sam's, that's about the closest one around for me. Joliet is about 40 mins away.
My last day off work, back tomorrow. Feeling really good!!

I had a great weekend. The benefit auction on Friday was so nice.. and I was able to eat a little bit of everything (except dessert which I wasn't good anyways because no body finished it). I had some soup, salad, chicken, veggies and mashed potato.. wow sounds like a lot! :)
At the auction we lost out on a blue ray player :( But we did win a dress watch for DH, a handmade earring/necklace set for me and a plastic canvas/yarn box with crosses inside for my MIL. I also went in on a baby boy gift set for a coworker with a friend of mine who was there.
Saturday I had a jewelry and food party and that went well. I worked so hard cleaning the house on saturday. We also switched our gymnastics day from Tuesday to Saturday so we had the gym in the morning.
Sunday I reseted! Whew. I needed it. We went to Costco and picked up diapers/wipes and I got some yummy yummy shrimp with ****tail sauce.
This week starts craziness at work. We start extracting files for our conversion, reports get converted tomorrow and validation starts.
I am thinking of taking the day after thanksgiving off just for a mental health break lol.
