Saturday Roll Call!
Today is the Harper College Art Fair and I'm excited. I have a new design to my booth with more tables, walls and lots of new stuff! If anybody is free and looking for a great show to go to, this is the one. It is from 9 to 4 today and 10 - 4 tomorrow in Palatine at the college. In other news, yesterday's workout at the gym was grueling, but I survived. I'm loosing weight again, albeit slowly. It feels like things are tightening up but I'm still fairly soft around the middle. Life is changing, but it is still scary!
Have a great weekend!
Paul
It's a lazy Saturday morning for me. I'm watching Can't Buy Me Love (a dorky teen movie from the 80's) I love 80's movies.
Well those that want to see 2012 it was good. The special effect the best I have seen but it is a loooong movie. I think they could have shaved off about 30 mins.
Now for my exciting news. A friend mine won a trip for two to the Bahamas at a work raffle. She asked me to go with her!!!! I only have to pay for my passport. Isn't that great. I haven't gone on a real vacation since I was 8...so it's been 30 years since my last vacation!!!
I'm going out with a friend and going to a party later. So everyone have a nice day.
Good morning Illinois!!
Another beautiful day! Remember, it's Christmas light day LOL.
Paul, good luck with your Fair. Wish I were closer, I'd come.
CRYSTAL!!! Congratulations. I'm SO happy for you. You certainly deserve this nice vacation. Start working on your passport asap, I understand it can take a little while. Do you have a date to go yet?
Hope everyone has a super weekend. Kathy, thinking about you and your upcoming surgery. Did you get your surgery time yesterday?
Enjoy this lovely weekend.
I hate to jinx it, but I can't believe how wonderful I am feeling. I even missed my nap yesterday afternoon! After doing lights today, though, I'll prbly need a little one.
Now I need to start working on increasing my Physical Activity. Leslie Sanson is in my DVD, so better have her take me for a walk later!
Happiness to you all! georgie
Here's to a great and prosperous weekend for you Paul. Don't worry about your weight. It will come off. You know what we all say, throw the scale out!
Crystal, it sounds like you have a fun weekend ahead of you. We have been to the Bahamas, you will have a blast. It is only taking a few weeks to get a passport, but do it as soon as you can. When is your trip?
For me this weekend, it will be more "clean sweep". It is so liberating to get rid of stuff. What use to hold books, vidios and other stuff, will now hold collectibles. But still have lots of open space, and I will be able to change stuff for other stuff.
I am also going to try to bring up the outdoor decorations this weekend. We will see.
Is the sun going to be out all day? It would be nice if it is.
Stay safe, stay warm,.
Hugs,
LISA
Good for you for getting to the gym, that's half the battle, right?
Crystal, what a great surprise! That's a nice adventure to look forward to through the winter. If you Google U.S. Passport, you can find the federal agency page that details how to obtain the paperwork and where you can go to file it. Sometimes it can take up to 6-8 weeks, so you might want to make this a priority so you don't have to worry about it later. We just went though having to get ours within a month because my parents decided to take us on vacation earlier this year. It took more money and a lot of stress to get them done that quickly!
We have no firm plans today. Putting up Christmas lights might be a good idea since the weather is still mild. I'm letting Steve sleep late this AM since he's been working 16 hr days and just got back from a business trip last night. Hopefully he'll feel like getting some fresh air later!
I'm just trying to get through the time until Tuesday when I have my next endoscopy. The last couple of days I tried to eat solids, like a piece of string cheese, 1/2 a hardboiled egg, thin sliced turkey deli meat. Although I didn't hurt when I ate the stuff, I think it is just sitting in my pouch because even 6 hours later I can't drink anything, even water without pain, or in one case, vomitting. I haven't been getting anywhere near my required fluids or protein because of this. So today it's back to liquids, shakes and pudding. Sigh.
Have a nice Saturday, everyone.

It is just after noon and is a beautiful day! When I went outside to feed the cats I could not believe how warm it felt outside! I hope to get to enjoy it some. I have a hair appointment later today and then want to get my laundry done.
Paul, I hope you make LOTS of money this weekend! That would be great. You never did say how Meridith liked her birthday present. I bet it was a big hit. I hope you sell all your bunk beds this weekend.
Crystal, what a great friend to choose you to go with her! That is fantastic. I am sure you will have a great time.
Georgie, I am glad you are doing so well. Stephie, I hope you get your issues resolved soon. have been so blessed with not having eating problems. I can't imagine how difficult they must be.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It's been a busy day for me. I went to work and when I came home we took our foster dog to an adoption event. I always hope someone will like him, but deep down, a little part of me is hoping they won't because then I get to keep him longer. He's really a good dog, so I really do hope we find him a good home.
Got a call from Silver Cross right before I left to go out last night and my surgery time is 10:30am! I have to be there to check in at 9am. My husband and my daughters are coming with me. I've been trying to get ready, but will have to do things tomorrow that I haven't already done. I'm getting really excited, but I still feel the nerves, especially as it gets closer. The people at work that know are really excited for me, as is my family!
It's been a long day and I can't wait to finally eat!! :)
Kathy
Keeping you in my prayers. georgie
I hear you on the foster dog. I do special needs foster cats and the ones that have found homes have broken my heart to see them go. The ones I have now seem to be permanent even if they are foster. I have had them for several years. I think our animal shelter "forgot" to pick them up. Both came just for a short time until their vaccines kicked in. LOL long immunization period. The shelter still pays for their medical care so I have the best of both worlds.
