Hello everyone

Well it's Friday Eve!!!  I can't wait.  Tomorrow I'm going out with some friends to see 2012.  Nothing like an apocalyptic movie to get you in the mood for the weekend.  Saturday. I'm going out with a friend and Sunday I'm going to a baby shower.  Busy, busy, busy.

Today I have some training to do for some of my new duties as manager.  I still can't believe it happened...finally.

My daughter called yesterday, she has another eye infection.  I just don't understand what she is doing that she keeps getting these eye infections.  She went to the doctor to get drops and she can't wear her contacts for a month.

I hope Georgie is home and relaxing and healing.

Have a nice day.

Hi Crystal and IL friends. Hope GEORGIE AND oMAR are doing well.

I had my therapy session yesterday. Of course I had some pain with it.

My boss called me yesterday and drilled me as to why I can't work since it is my left wrist, not right that I can't use/ Then he had the nerve to tell me that I have to come up with a plan to have the office covered! I have a part-timer that comes in; he wants her to put in more time so someone is in the office. She goes to school part-time so she can only work limited hours. I have to call her today. Ugh, he makes me so mad. That's all he cares about, I worked that 1st week in severe pain and tried to work. I couldn't do it.

Well, that's it for me.

CONGRATS again Crystal on your promotion!

Your boss sounds like a jerk.  I broke my arm once and couldn't work for 6 weeks.  Not to mention due to imobility my arm was in pain for months because every movement was painfull.

Good Morning Crystal and Illinois,
Well its already been a long day.  I have been at work since 6am and I will probably be here late.  Tomorrow is our DOT Audit, lets pray that goes good.

I was able to get in yesterday for a fill.  I don't know if i am where I should be, but I had a piece of string cheese this morning at 5:45 and I still satisfied.  That is about 2 hours.  I think I should eat something now, but I think that is my brain talking not my stomach.  So I will hold off until my stomach starts talking.  I am not getting the gurglies I use to get when I was full, but I seem to be doing OK.  We will see if it gets a little tighted as time goes on.  I have another appt in December.

I hope Georgie is doing good and comes back to the board soon.  I am getting excited for Kathy and her new journey she is about to embark on.

This weekend is cleaning, laundry, shopping and then Sunday my cousin is having an open house.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning,

My last day of training today! YAY! Yesterday was beyond boring. I am the IS Lead for this part of our conversion so I need to make sure that everything is completed and that they work properly. Yesterday was nothing but a debate on new processes that the financial department wants, which had nothing to do with our training. I finally told them that we needed to move on because it had been 2 hours debating new process flows and they didnt have all the people needed to make those decisions there. Thank goodness that worked! I ended up having to work late because training was never ending yesterday.

Today I am having Special K for breakfast... weeee. I decided to hold off on the protein shake to see if I get my protein in on my own. Since this cold started to go away Ive been able to eat like I am supposed to instead of filling up so fast and not being hungry the rest of the day. I've been eating rasin bran for dinner lately and it's been helping with the BMs (sorry if TMI).

I am so looking forward to this weekend!

I hope you all have a great day! :)

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Congrats on your promotion Crystal-----I know how long you waited.  Now.......give 'em heck and show them how great you are!

I was wiped out yesterday from doing way too much for too many days in a row.  I slept like a rock during a 2.5 hour nap and only woke up because the kids came home.  I am REALLY debating about returning to work early.  I NEED the $$$ as I am now on unpaid leave but I just don't know if I can do it.  I think I will HAVE to try at least half days since some money is better than none.

I hope Georgie is doing OK and Omar is recovering nicely.  Kathy is next!  How exciting!

Randy is doing well and I truly believe that we need at LEAST one protein shake each day no matter what.  I am not convinced that we absorb all the solid protien that we eat and it is difficult to get the minimum 60 g in solids.  If we do not abosrb it all, a protein shake is great insurance.  Of course, I LOVE my protein and happily drink them in all sorts of ways.

I made Carol's Crock Pot Mexican Pork last night and it was a "keeper" with the family.  David made a cheese quesadilla to go with his and said it was very yummy.

I have enough left overs from the past few days that no one will have to cook today.

I wish everyone a fantastic day!

do you have recipe for that?  It sounds yummy.

This is the recipe that Carol brought to Paul's:

Mexican Pork (crockpot recipe)

1 lb. pork roast (or chops) cut into 1 in. cubes
1 20 oz. jar salsa
1 4 oz. can green chilies
1 can pinto beans (drained)

Put all in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, tortillas, etc......

****I used a 3 lb. boneless rolled pork shoulder roast, so I used 2 cans of chilies, and 2 cans of beans, but still only 1 jar of salsa (Wal-Mart's Great Value Lime & Garlic--24 oz.)  It was plenty "soupy" so I am glad that I did not double the salsa.  I ate mine like chili.......with cheese and greek yogurt.  You could wrap it in a tortilla and dress it like a taco if you wanted.  It is really good!
