i was wondering

i might be moving to schaumburg after the winter and was wondering if anyone knows of support groups open to public as I will have to drive almost 2 hours to one at that point.

There are a few open to the public support groups in your area.

The Kane Center holds theirs at Alexian Brothers Med Cntr in Elk Grove Village.

Hopefully Paul will chime in on where he goes. It is out towards the Woodstock area.

There is also one in Rockford - Hopefully Dawn or one of the other ladies out in that area will fill you in on more info.

I attend the Kane Center support groups.  These are held one Saturday a month at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village.  Check out their website.    The others' attending the support group are very friendly and imformative. 

If you get the opportunity...check it out.  The next one is on Saturday, November 21st from 10:45-12:00.

The Rockford Support Group is held on the third Monday of each month.  The next one is November 16th.  7:00 pm

It is held at the
University of Illinois College of Medicine

All surgeries, surgeons, pre and post ops along with their support people are welcome.

The groups I have been to from the Kane Center in Elk Grove Village are really great, for me anyway.  I would recommend them.
