Hello everyone

I have really good news.  Yesterday I was told that I am finally getting promoted to manager!!!  If some of you might remember I was supposed to get this promotion last year but they instituted a "no hire, no raise, salary freeze" thing at work and there went my promotion.  I can't believe it!!!  They are announcing it today at a meeting.  Yeah me!!!!  It only took me 7 years to make my way up to management.  Maybe I won't hate my job so much now or I will have a new set of complaints...hahaha.

Today after work I'm meeting some friends, we are going out to eat.

I'm so glad we finally heard from Omar and he's doing well.  I also hope Nancy will be feeling better very soon and get the relief she needs from her pain.  I get migraines once in awhile, I can't imagine suffering a month with a migraine.

Have a wonderful day.

Good morning IL!

TGIF is right!  Crystal...CONGRATS to you.  I hope your new job is fun and interesting.  Promotions are cool!

Oh, Lucy...I admire you for keeping keepin' on!  It is hard to be in constant pain.  I hope something gives you a little relief.

Sheri, sounds like a fun weekend.

Omar, welcome back

Thanks for the tips on "other" essentials to take to the hosp.  Think I'll go with the pj pants and skip the robe...more my style.

Hope to work around the yard this weekend, need to pull out flowers, etc.  Chloe doesn't have school today, so she was up last night.  Slept at my house and then i dropped her off at her G&G's before work.

Rest of the weekend will be getting ready for TUESDAY!

Have a wonderful Friday and WEEKEND.  georgie

Happy Friday, everyone,

Crystal, congratulations!  Your company is lucky to have you.  Not everyone would stay at a job so patiently until they get the recognition they deserve!  Hope this is a good change for you.

Lucy and Nancy, my heart goes out to you, I can't imagine how hard it is to deal with chronic pain.  I wish relief for both of you.

Dawn are you starting to feel any better?

Georgie, good luck on Tuesday.  You have such a nice weekend weather-wise to enjoy before surgery.

I'm still working on dragging myself out of self-pity.  Still can't eat anything, just drinking my protein shakes.  I have another endoscopy scheduled, but it isn't for two weeks.  I hope the next one helps.

I've been doing more walking, which feels good.  The pounds are coming off, that's one exciting thing.

I wish everyone a lovely weekend.

Congradulations on the promotion!  I know that when I was still working, the greatest feeling was the acknowledgment of a promotion.

For those of you who get migraines, here's a good treatment.  Soak your feet in ho****er while putting an ice pack on your head.  The heat draws the blood to your feet while the ice pushes it away from your head.  Since migraines are a result of contraction of the blood vessels in the brain, the movement of blood away from the head will help to relieve the contraction pressure.  Give it a try!

I am back to experiencing good restriction and bad reactions to certain foods that I was able to eat for a while.  I feel like the patient in the movie "Awakenings"!  Today I poured a small bowl of shredded wheat and after only a few bites, lost it.  I went through 2 boxes and just bought the third box last night!  Oh well.  I guess I have to relearn my eating patterns all over again.  The good news is that I'm loosing weight again!

Tomorrow is Meredith's birthday party and then I have an art show at a temple in Gray's Lake Saturday night and Sunday.

Have a great weekend!

Good FRIDAY morning everyone!!!!  I am Sooooooo glad it is Friday.

Crystal,  I am so happy that you have FINALLY gotten that promotion!  I thought they had forgotten you.  Yep, management level definitely has its perks.  Congratulations!

Lucy, I am so sorry to hear that you have so much pain with your wrist.  Isn't it ironic that it has to hurt worse to get better?  I can't imagine trying to do things one handed.  Being alone too, I understand how frustrating that must be.  I would be in tears constantly.  Hang in there.

Paul, thanks for the tip on migraine relief.  I will have to try that tonight after work.  It makes sense.  I think if I could just get this cycle broken, I could get it back under control.  The last time this happened, they told me I had to get the migraines stopped and then they could work at preventing them and that was true.  Hopefully this will be the same.  Anything is worth a shot at this point.

I hope everyone is going to have a great weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Good morning everybody.

Crystal Congrats! That is awesome :)

For those of you not feeling well, I hope you feel better soon. I myself have a cold now which I am very unhappy about. I am trying my best to fight it. I am eatting an omlet this morning instead of my  normal shake, I have dayquil, orange juice, emergen-C and zome coldeez. So far none of this has made me dump so I think the sugar is minimal.

I have packed away my scale. I have gotten tired of waiting for it to go down so I am just not going to think about it and instead focus on what I am eating and how I am exercising.

I am meeting with a friend on Sunday who had RNY in May and is down 100lb. We are going to talk and walk around the mall.

Yesterday I got in 70g of protien and 60z of water! First time on the water.

I hope you all have a great friday.

Congratulations Crystal!!!!!!  About time!!!  I hope this makes your days in HE** easier to handle.

Glad to hear that Omar is doing good.

I am feeling better and even went grocery shopping yesterday!  I slept for hours afterwards but it was nice to get out.

I am getting ready for a doctor's appointment.  I have made progress, but he will decide if it is enough to have the tube removed.  I'll let you know later!

Tell someone that you love them!
