Hi Everyone,

I went for my first fill today.  It didn't happen, I have to go back tomorrow to have it done in the hospital.  Apparently my port is deep, so he need the different machine that is at the hospital.  Ok, its bad enough I was stressing over getting the fill, now it has to be done in the hospital.  I hope it all goes ok and I'm not filled to much.  I have my mother and sister's birthday surprised dinner. On a happy note I have lost 45 pounds since Sept 1 2009.
Nancy-I sure hope your able to get over your pain soon.  Sending you healing prayers.

Lucy-Hope your feeling better.  Good luck with occupational therapy.

Omar-Hope your doing well.

Crystal- Work does suck sometimes.  I hope it gets better.  I'm not sure I can ever go back to corporate world.  I want to be successful in my new Wildtree business, so I don't have to go back and be stress out all the time.

Candy-Congrats, your weight lost is awesome.

Lisa-Enjoy your 3 day weekend.  I would paint before hanging new drapes.  (just my opinion)

Georgie-I found the weekend before surgery to be harder, I was getting stressed.  I did try to stay busy.  You asked about things to bring, I didn't need a robe, the gowns are big and I brought a pair of shorts to wear under the gown.  I slept most of the time.  I was dismissed at 12 noon on Wednesday.   Your in for an awesome journey.  Congrats on your weight lost. Keep up the great work.

Kathy-Keep up the great work with your pre op diet, it does get easier.  Your on your way.

Erika-I hope your able to get your family on board with your decision.  Your making the best decision for you.

Sheri-Hope all is going well for you at work.  It sounds like you are gong to have a great weekend.

Wishing everyone love and happiness.

Wow, Deanna, 45 since 9-1, that is wonderful.  Congrats.  Sorry your fill didn't go as planned.  Take a deep breath!  Do you think if I took wore my pajama pants under my gown that would be ok?  I've found a robe to borrow but hate them!  What time was your surgery?

Thanks Georgie!  I think your PJ pants under the gown will be ok.  My surgery was scheduled for 11:15, I was taken to the OR at 12:15.  I was in my room at 3:00.  At which time I had to use the washroom, so I had to walk to the restroom.  than I slept for awhile, got up one more time than at 8pm the CNA got me up and walking the floor.  I did the entire floor at that time.  Wishing you much success.

 Georgie

A lot of hospitals use a hospital gown worn backwards for the robe.  It works very well.  Solves the problem and nothing special to buy.  The few things that I think are a must have are a nail file, ear plugs (hospitals are VERY noisy), your own pillow (especially for the ride home), a sports bra (believe me, you do not want to wear a regular bra near your incisions), and loose fitting clothes for the ride home.  I also took lotion and my surgeon allowed us to chew gum after surgery.  (sugar free of course)  This was a life saver as you cannot drink and the gum kept your mouth refreshed.

Thanks for the ideas Nancy.  I was planning on bringing my own pillow..sports bra, great idea and GUM (sf)  hadn't thought of that and that will be a good thing if I can have it!  On the home stretch now!  thanks
