This is a fly-by, I need to leave in less then 30 min. for another day in H===! THis week and the next few will be super busy.

Hello everyone
Well it's Wednesday...the week is half over. Ican't wait till Friday. I'm tired, I want to go to sleep right now.
The support group went well yesterday. I think I will be going to the Joliet group from now on. It's convienant from work. Deanna it was nice meeting you. I really like this smaller group meetings. The one at Silver Cross is just to big.
Well I hope Omar is doing well. Also, I hope Lucy is doing better.

Last night we had our monthly board meeting. I went because there were many questions that the board had to answer. I didn't get home until 10:30.
Pain is lessening. Thanks to everyone for the hugs and prayers.

Good morning IL!
Not much going on today. Will spend the weekend getting post op "stuff" in the house...and I prbly need to get some type of house coat. I might be able to borrow one, since I don't think I'd use it much, but need to take one to the hosp. Getting that list together too. If anyone has anything special they think would help that's not on the normal list, let me know. I'm debating about taking my laptop, since they have wifi conection....just don't know how I'll feel! LOL Should be hearing about my time, I would think end of the week....WOW it's really getting here. I'm fighting a little cold, but hoping it doesn't become full blown. Been doing all the good things, lots of fluids, going to be early to get rest. I read where someone said they had a cold going in and blowing their nose helped get rid of the GAS! LOL TAke all the advantages you can get.
Lucy, ENJOY your day home. Relax and take care of yourself. glad to hear pain is lessening.

I'm not sure what is on your "regular" list, but lip balm and slip on slippers are a must.
They really kick you out of the hospital the minute you feel like doing anything, so I am not sure if you would get a chance to use the lap-to*****t. I know I took tons of books, magazines and such to keep me occupied and I didn't look at any of it.

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I slept in bed again last night! It was easier than the night before. That must be some type of progress.
I feel good everywhere except for the site of the catheter tube. There is a stining, burning type pain when I move. It does not sem to be infected, but I imagine that my body is not too happy to have this foreign object. This too shall pass. I am hoping for better numbers today because I would REALLY like to have it removed on Friday. So far, the numbers just aren't there. It is really taking longer than anticipated. Wish me luck and send all the good vibes my way please.

Good afternoon everyone!! Another day of beautiful sun!!
Went to sign my consent forms and get my pre-op labs done this morning. I was glad I could get it all done in one day and it really didn't take very long at all. Talking to Dr. Lahmann this morning really calmed my nerves a bit. I had a little bit of a headache when I left the office...not sure if it was no calories or no caffeine that did it, but I feel better now after taking a couple of acetaminophen and having a shake. I actually think I like the Mocha Latte Atkins shake. What a surprise there!

Tomorrow I'm taking my daughter for her senior pictures so I'm hoping the weather stays just as nice as we're taking some of them outside. Have a great day everyone!!
