Friday Roll Call!!!
My daughter was accepted to University of Wisonsin-Madison. But U of I was her heart's desire. She is an Evironmental Science major. She is thinking about majoring in Biology in grad school. I hope your daughter is going stay at the dorms. That is the best college experience. My daughter stayed in the dorms for two years and now she rents a house with three other friends. She has really loved college, her friends, parties, and the clubs.
Good Morning Omar and Illinois,
Like everyone else says TGIF. Tomorrow I will be spending the day with my husband running errands and Sunday I will be having lunch with a friend and cleaning.
So this fill is still not enough. I am getting really frustrated and he wants me to wait 6 weeks for my next one. I am going to call and get in sooner hopefully, I am not going to wait the 6 weeks and gain anymore weight back. I still try to watch my calories, but it is hard when you are always hungry.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and a fun and safe halloween. We are not doing anything special this year. We don't get kids at the door because of living in the country with no street lights, they all go into town. So after running errands, maybe we will rent Rocky Horror Picture Show and spend a quite evening with our 2 dog and 2 cats.

How many CCs do you have in your band so far??? I now have 9.2 ccs. I had my surgery in March so it took all this time to get me to this point. I know how frustrating it is. I'm thinking when I go back on 11-20...I would like a tad more. I think I'm at the point where .02 or .03 will make a big difference.
I have 7.3 ccs now. I have had restriction before that food got stuck in February so I just want to have that again. He says I have a 9CC band so he cannot go up that high for me. For breakfast I just ate 2 eggs (whites only, the yolks make me sick now) and a piece of string cheese. For a total of 94 calories. That leaves me 906 calories for the rest of the day. I will see how things go for the next week, but if it is still a struggle, I will be calling to get in sooner.
I am glad you are feeling restriction, I know how good that can feel, knowing your tool is working for you. I will be there soon enough. Where did that book store open up at, we will be in that area tomorrow and I would like to check it out.

I've been overfilled and under and what I've learned over two years is that restriction is more in your head than in the band. When you have eaten enough to not be immediately hungry, you're done for that meal. It's really a hard lesson to learn, or it has been for me anyway, but it's not as much about the band as it is about stopping eating when you don't feel full, but you do feel no longer hungry. The other thing is of course, plenty of water and plenty of protein.
I'd still like a magic wand but no one has invented it yet!

Sorry Connie, but I have to respectfully disagree with you. Restriction is not in your head, but hunger can be. I have been overfilled before also, but I have also been to the point were my restriction was just about perfect. The fact that I can eat as much as I want is proof that I do not have any restriction. I did not have this surgery to not have a tool to help me. I know when it is head hunger and I know when it is physical hunger. I eat plenty of protein and I get in about 84oz of water.
Yay for you,Omar! That weight is going to start flying off!
I have two kids yet 40 Halloween parties to get ready for, it seems. I don't know which way is up this morning!
I have already eaten my weight in Halloween candy and it's only 8 a.m. At least lots of it had peanuts in it, so I will claim some protein! Now I am mowing through some high-protein quiche to try and create some balance...LOL
Have a great SPOOKY weekend!

HW: 344 lbs CW: 150 lbs
Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
Happy Friday everyone!
Omar, will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for Monday's surgery. You will be in good hands. My wish for you is an uneventful surgery and a quick recovery!
Crystal, I'm not quite as done as you are in the Christmas shopping catagory, but I have about one third of mine done. I want to be finished by Thanksgiving.
Georgie, I'm like your mother...I usually have my shopping done early. This really started when my son moved to WV. There were times when I would see them for Thanksgiving and the next day we would celebrate Christmas because we would not be seeing each other in December. It is not really about the date of celebration as much as who we celebrate.
Lisa, hope you have a great weeke-end!
Dawn, hope things are getting better for you..
Monica...have fun at your "sleepover"!!!!!
If I've missed anyone...sorry...
To those with upcoming surgeries...I wish you well....
To those with financial difficulties...I wish you enough...
Have a great day...keep dry and keep safe...
