Hello everyone

Yeah!!!  I'm so happy it's Friday (Halloween Eve).  I hope the day flies by.

I have already been online and bought a Christmas present.  I have a few more people to buy for and then I'm done...except for candy and wrapping.  I will wait till later to get those things.  I really love Christmas.  I'm like a little kid.  I start decorating my house a couple days before Thanksgiving.  Which I can't wait to do either.  My daughter is a little more subdued about Christmas...so I always call her a "Bah Hum Bug".  Hahaha.

I'm wearing a pair of jeans I probably won't wear anymore.  They are just sooo big on me.  I didn't realize how big until I saw my reflection in a window.  My clothes are just way too baggy.

I have no big plans for Halloween.  I'm going to walk over to a book store that just opened in my neighborhood.  My friend is coming over with her kids.  That's it for my weekend.

Omar-  I know I was so excited before my surgery.  I had no fear at all.  Just lots of excitement.  YEAH!!!  I'm so excited for you.

Stay dry and warm today.  Enjoy your Friday.

Hello Illinois!

OMG...will this RAIN EVER STOP?????  Maybe tomorrow, huh?

Omar, I'm so excited for you.  Have a super weekend.  I know you'll do great.

Crystal, you are just like my mom was.  She ALWAYS had her shopping done by Tgiving.  I, on the other hand, don't ususally start until about the 10th of Dec, however I have increased my online buying over the years and that has surely helped me not have to go in the stores.

I do kinda get a kick out of the Black Friday sales - and our yard is closed on thurs and friday for Tgiving, so that is cool!  I love to look at the ads, and then find 2 or 3 things I really want to get people at a really good price.

Last year, Walmart had Garman GPS on sale for $99.  I wanted to get 2, and when I got there, they had plenty so I went ahead a splurged and bought myself one.  Glad I did.  I've used it alot and love it!

Hope everyone has a great Halloween weekend.  I'm going to pick up Chloe after work and hopefully I can take her Trick or Treating tomorrow night.  Her mom is still confined to home with her Antibiotic IV therapy, so she wouldn't be able to take her.

Tomorrow morning I go to Silver Cross Hosp to have my bloodwork for surgery.....It's getting close now!

Happy Haunting!!!!  georgie

Hi Georgie,

I am not sure if they told you over the phone but you need to hit up the Smith pavillon for your bloodwork. They forgot to mention it to me over the phone and I went to the pavillion. Not fun at 8am in the morning.

Thanks Omar,

They did mention it, but glad you reminded me, because I wasn't really  thinking about it!  That's the one at the bottom of the hill, straight in front, right?

Good Morning my wonderful IL friends

Well it's Friday which for me means, no school.  lol

Today I am hoping that a repair person will be able to come and and look at our fridge which died yesterday!!  We lost a lot of stuff and that makes me sad...we're so tight on money and this isn't what we need right now.  oh well, God only gives us what we can handle right?  Or at least that's what I've been told.

I am going to my first sleep over at a friend's house in over 20 years!  LOL  She had surgery for breast cancer last week and is iviting some ladies over for a girl's night "in" with finger foods and chick flicks...she lives an hour away and so she told me that I would just be staying there!  lol  It's okay by me though, Tyler has a Halloween party to go to and Jacob and Austyn will be at the other sides for the weekend.

Other than that, I'll start to work on the next chapter for school and just play on FB and Pogo.  It's my day for fun and not a lot of work.  lol

Have a wonderful, safe and dry day today!

Monica

Most home owner insurance policies will cover the loss of food when your refrigerator breaks like that.  Contact your insurance agent to see if you are covered.  It can't hurt!

Good morning everyone!!  It's been a very busy week so this is my first chance at posting in a couple of days!

Omar - You're in the home stretch!!  I'm so excited for you!!

I'm off of work today, which is going to be nice as I have a few things to do.  I have to buy my list of pre-op diet items...it isn't a long list, but I know I have to be prepared and have the things on hand I can eat/drink because I know it's not going to be easy those first couple of days.  I haven't even done any Halloween preparation and it's tomorrow already!  I have no idea what my girls are going to do, but we get a lot of trick-or-treaters here so hubby and I have to be on patrol.  Our one dog really loves to greet the kids at the door and he's so sweet with them.  :)

I am proud to say that yesterday my daughter got a phone call from one of her top college choices and she has been accepted!!  I'm soo very proud of her and it was a nice moment when we heard the message as my daughter, hubby and I cried and celebrated in the kitchen yesterday.  It's a huge relief as we know schools get a lot of applicants and I'm just hoping she picks this school...as it isn't too far from home.  :)  I thought it was just awesome that they actually called her and let her know instead of just sending a letter too!  Well, that's my bragging moment for now!!!  LOL   :)

I should get moving so that I can go and get some groceries and see if I can make something special and healthy for a little celebration dinner...me for my surgery date and my daughter for college.  It's been an exciting good week here at our house, and that's pretty rare so I'm going to enjoy every second of it!  Take care everyone and have a great Friday!! TGIF!!

What is your daughter's top choice.  My daughter goes to University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.  It is exciting when your kid gets accepted to the college of her choice.  Now you will have a huge list of things you have to buy for her dorm room.  My daughter is a senior now and I can say these have been the best years of her life.  She's so sad to be graduating.  But she will be going to grad school so she can make it last a little longer.  Hahaha.

She has two top choices at this point - University of Wisconsin-Madison, which we haven't heard from yet, but I don't think everything is done with her application yet...this weekend we're finishing things for sure!  Her other top choice is Benedictine University in Lisle, which is where she's been accepted!  I actually think Wisconsin will be more money due to being out of state, so I'm not sure if it will fit in our budget.  It is very exciting to be able to start planning some of the things for next year though...even though I'm not really ready to let go!

It has to be exciting to be getting ready to see your daughter getting ready for graduation!  What is she studying?  When we visited the U of I campus in Champaign, I absolutely loved it and so did my daughter.  It was a game day and although they were away, the town was still bustling with kids and the excitement gave her a great taste of the other side of college life...outside the classroom, which is just as important if you're going to live there.  :)
