Went to my friends party yesterday...had a pear martini or two ...yummy....that was the first martini I ever had.
They were delicious!
Not much on the agenda today...somehow I must meet up with my daughter to get her that big soup pot for next weekends birthday party.

Glad to hear your doing well Omar. The first few days were a little hard and then it was smooth sailing for me. Congrats on your upcoming big day.
I don't have much going on in my life. I need to be getting ready for work. I hate working Sundays. This is probably not very nice to say but some of these people that come in on Sundays are real pains in the butts! So demanding, rude and don't tip. It really stinks. I know the economy is bad but if you have the money to eat out, you should be able to tip your server properly. This is the way I make a living these days and getting 10% tips makes it really hard to pay the mortgage. I think people forget that we get paid 4.80 an hour and we have to tip out bussers and bartenders on our total sales.. not our total tips. A 10% tip is not very nice people expecially when you know your doing a great job. Ok, enough venting. LOL

I am having a nice Sunday. But then again I always say a bad Sunday is better than a good Monday...
Well my friend didn't stay pregnant. She gave birth yesterday to a little baby boy. He is only 1 lb 11oz. He is holding his own and he is a fighter, so pray that he pulls through and lives a long healthy life.

Prayers for your friend and her new son. How far along in the pregnancy was he? They can do so many things today with premies it is amazing. I pray for a miracle and that he is a survivor and fighter. My dad was a premie and very tiny. He grew up to be 6 ft 4 and 225 lbs. And this was in the early 1900's when they did not have today's technology. So tell your friend to hang in there. It will be hard to have the little one in the hospital but that is the best place to be.

Had a great day yesterday visiting my brother at U of I. It makes for a long day, but we had fun. He will be there one more year and then off to medical school.
Today we are heading up to Winnebago for the car club meeting and then home to rest before another long day at work. I just got back from having breakfast with a friend and I am already exhausted. I have not been sleeping well at all lately and I don't know what is wrong with me.

Hello Omar and Illinois Friends!
Hope everyone is having a great day! It is sunny here right now so I am going to enjoy it while it lasts. It is susposed to rain later. I need to get to the grocery store and hope I beat the rain. I got my pile of laundry done yesterday. How can one person produce 4 loads of laundry????
It probably did not help that I did all of my bedding including the quilt and mattress pad. They needed to be done.
No other plans for today but to kick back and relax. Hope everyone has a great week!
