Friday Roll Call

My plan was for liquids the first week, pureed foods the 2nd and 3rd weeks and then the 4th week move to soft foods. I am in the 3rd week now. I have had some soft foods but have chewed them up to the point that they are basicly pureed. My current fav is small curd cottage cheese. Yesterday I made a spaghetti sauce for the fam that had chicken chunks in it. I took some of that chicken and some cottage cheese in the blender and then microwaved it... it tasted like lasagna filling!

Hello Crystal and Illinois,

Thank goodness it is Friday.  I am having a really crappy day and can't wait to get it over with.  I need to vent for a second.  My father (my boss) has just taken my step sister (older than me) out for lunch and never asked me to go.  You would think since I work for him he would ask me to go, but he just left and never asked.

OK, well thanks for letting me vent.  I have a busy weekend planned, I can't wait to see my brother, I have not seen him for about a year because he didn't come home this summer. 

Crystal let me know how that movie is, I have been wanting to see it, and for some strange reason I also want to see the Michael Jackson movie coming out. 

I get my fill on Wednesday, so hopefully it will be the one.  I am so tired of always being hungry.

Good afternoon everyone!  Yes, it's Friday, but in the land of retail, that doesn't mean much to me...I have to work the whole weekend.  Yuck!  I spent a nice morning with just the hubby and the dogs and it was so nice and quiet.  I wish we had more days off together...even if it is raining!

I'm still waiting to hear back from the surgeon's office to see if all of my paperwork is lined up and we can start scheduling all the things needed for pre-op.  I'm a little anxious, but after the long wait, I know I'm completely ready for this!

Crystal, I do hope that all goes well with your friend and I've been thinking about her and hope things work out.  In response to your question yesterday, I am planning on the banding surgery.  I haven't had a chance to sit down with Dr. Lahmann and see which one yet, but I'm hoping soon.

Well, this weekend we're having a birthday party for my youngest daughter at my mom's.  I'm hoping they'll let me out of work an hour early so I can get to my mom's before it's late.  (It's an hour drive from my house.)  Well, I do hope that everyone has a great day and a great weekend!  Try to stay dry everyone!!

Good afternoon everyone,

I have been so busy this week with starting school and Tyler getting his driver's permit too!  School is great and while there is a TON of work, I will be okay and do great!  :-)

It's raining again...of course, it's Friday and time for football.  Thank goodness it's the last game of the season for Tyler as I am getting really sick of sitting in the cold, windy rain every Friday.  Why couldn't it be like it was on Wednesday?  lol  oh well.  2 week break then wrestling starts, but at least that's indoors!

Please keep a friend of mine, Tia, in your thoughts and prayers.  She has breast cancer and underwent a 14 hour surgery on Wednesday.  She had a double masectomy, a reconstruction and they threw in a tummy tuck too.  (she is a band patient, 2 years now).  She's in the ICU right now, but is doing pretty good.

Well gotta go and do some homework before we leave!  Have a great afternoon/evening everyone

 Hi folks! Haven't been on much --computer is being fixed at the Apple store in Madison and I'm using a PC notebook which drives me nuts. It is so much MORE complicated and frustrating than a Mac.

Still knitting and hanging out with my friends. Love being retired!
