I am still around and lurking

Hey all!!!!

It has been sometime since I have actually posted, but I have been busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest.....   Work has been busy, with so much going on between quarter close and a debt refinancing (not an easy task for a global company), and gearing up for the year end close....means long days. I am grateful I still have a job, as I have made it through a 10 days of unpaid furlough at the end of last year, to losing some benefits, and taking a 50% cut in pay for three months.  But, the company is doing better so they have reinstated some of the benefits that were cut like the 401k match.  They will be paying the employees back for thos 10 unpaid days sometime before the end of this year, and starting in January the company is paying back the employees for the salary cut.  So far, my company is the only one I have heard doing this.

I am still in school, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and I will be graduating in 2010.  My last class will finish the end of April, then I will be able to walk across the stage and get my degrees.  For all the new people here, I go to the University of Phoenix On-line and I am a triple major.  So when all is done, I will have a BS in Business Administration, BS in Finance, and a BS in Accounting.   lol, just looking at all those BS's, made me chuckle to think that I am totally full of BS (sorry strange humor).

I am in disbelief that my two year surgiversary is coming up on December 28th, I now weigh in between 120-125 depending on the day.  So in total, I have lost 132 lbs.  I used to have a problem in finding clothing in my pre-op size of 22W that fit well and looked nice.  Now, I have the issue of not being able to find anything that will fit me.  I am now wearing small to medium in tops, and in jeans I can wear anything from 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 depending on the brand.

One of my goals when I had surgery was to be able to wear my wedding ring again, well I achieved that goal, but now I am back to not being able to wear my ring as it is now too big.  I am hoping to get a new one with a pretty stone on it.

I have been reading the boards and keeping up on what is going on.  So hi to all the our new friends that are just arriving at the losers bench, and those working hard to get there.

So, on this note I will say good night for now but I am around and lurking.

Grats on the weight loss and the triple major. That is a lot of online assignments and group papers.

Hi Wendi!!  I have missed you, though I haven't been around as much either.  I have started going to Everest College this week to get my Medical Assistant degree and will be finished in June of next year!  woohoo for us!!  lol

I am glad that things are looking up for your company and that you still have a job!  that is very good news.  I was thinking about you a lot because I have been having hypoglycemic espisodes lately and I know that the last time we talked at the support group meeting you were saying that you did too!

I look forward to hearing more from you!  Hugs my friend

Monica
