Thursday Morning Roll Call
I took Deanna's advice yesterday and put butterfly bandages on the incision and it seems to be holding together. I called the dr's office yesterday and they didnt get back to me until all the nurses and dr's were gone. :\ they will call back today.
I rested all day yesterday, except for when I had my son alone and that was a challenge. I plan to rest all day today and tomorrow. Hopefully that helps.
I have almost all of my xmas shopping done as well. I do a lot of shopping from LTD.
I hope that you all have a great day :)
I know I don't check in often, but here I am. I was "realized" on Tuesday and everything went well. I was up and walking within a couple of hours. I think my insides are starting to wake up now. Omar and georgie, hang in there the 2 week diet goes quick and good luck. thanks to everyone on this forum and others for all the information I have learned over the past year.
Thanks Larry
Good morning everyone! Thanks to Sheri for taking the time to talk to my husband and I last night at the Support Group! We really appreciated that and I look forward to attending again.
Well, I'm new on this board, but I guess you can say I've been a lurker for a while now. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kathy and I'm 39 years old. I have two teenage daughters and a wonderful husband. They are all very supportive of my decision to have surgery. I've been kicking around the idea of wls for many years now but have finally made a lot of progress and I'm just waiting for final clearances and a call from the surgeon's office to get things going. I see that some of you attend the same surgeon's office as me, so it will be great to hear about your progress! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here and to help out whenever I can.
Hope everyone has a great day!!
Welcome to the party, there is a a tremoundous amount of support on these boards and you should fit right in. I am also getting my surgery done at Silver Cross and since both doctors are present for surgeries in many ways we kind of have the same surgeon. Did you run through all of your screenings yet (Pumonology, EKG, Sleep study)? Those are a lot of fun.
I noticed you have the same doctor as I do. The BMI clinic is great and Dr Lahmann is wonderful. They have a great after care program. I think you will be very pleased.
Are you getting RNY or the band?
I thankfully didn't have to do a sleep study. That does sound uncomfortable.
Good luck with the rest of your journey.
I started off

Down two more pounds today which I guess should slow down to one a day. I am mentally redefining liquids in my mind. So many things will just slide through my pouch if I chew them up and many others need no chewing. Like sf pudding. So I am running less than 1200 calories. Maybe as low as 800 but I am not ready to put it in FitDay yet. Not sure what the malabsorption will add to the losing process.
