Thursday Morning Roll Call
Happy Friday EVE! I am up late so I thought I would start roll call and get a jump on the day. Then I can go to bed and sleep in a little longer in the morning.
It was a beautiful day here yesterday and I wish I could say we are in for a repeat today, but it doesn't look like it. I hope you got a chance to enjoy some of it. I snuck outside at lunch and enjoyed my lunch on the patio. Those days are certainly limited.
I can't believe that we have the end of October rapidly approaching. Just 2 months until Christmas eve!
The time is flying by. I need to start getting prepared for my knee surgery stocking up on supplies and doing my Christmas shopping. I come back from Thanksgiving and have surgery the day after I get back. So it will come fast.
I am looking forward to the weekend. I am glad our new losers are doing so well. Just remember to not overdo it. You did have major surgery and your body is in charge! It will rebel if you don't take care of it. I know it can be boring to not do much, but take advantage of the down time while you have it.

Not too much longer for the little ghouls and goblins to be coming around also. It will be fun to see what the costume themes will be this year.GM all. I am up a little early also as I went to bed far earlier than Nancy, like at 730 and I slept the whole way through the night, unusual for me.
I finally broke down and went for an eye apt yesterday. No changes in the script but 2 pairs of different bifocals and a years worth of contacts later and my pocket book is going ouchie!
At least there is a $60 rebate on the contacts. The doc recommended a reading type of bifocals for working on the computer at work. I am constantly looking over the top of my glasses to see the screen but still need my reading portion for the paperwork.Well, today is basically my Friday.
I have off tomorrow. We are going down (via train) to the installation of the new president of Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago. We will also meet up with our neighbor boy across the street while there as he is a student on campus there. We have been supporters of the school since we were married and also listen to Moody radio at home and in the car - they have a far reaching network so we listen elsewhere while traveling.Well have a great day all.

Hello everyone
Well it's almost Friday!!! Me and some friends are going out tomorrow to see the movie Paranormal Activity. It's supposed to be really scarry but, I am not convinced.
I went to see my friend yesterday. She's doing well. The medicine they have her on to stop the contractions is making her sick. But you will do anything to make sure you deliver a healthy baby. A group of us went to see her yesterday and we brought her magazines, crossword puzzles, sodokus, cross stitching and just to be silly we also got her play dough.
No word on my other friend. We will know tomorrow if she will be a mommy. I told her if the birth mother changes her mind it wasn't meant to be and her baby is out there somewhere waiting to be born. It must be a hard thing to give up your baby. I was only 16 when I had my daughter and I couldn't even consider it, even though the odds were against me.
Dawn- I hear you doing well. I hope you heal quickly.
Nancy- believe it or not most of my Christmas shopping is done. By the end of the month I will be 95% done. I know people thing I'm crazy but I hate shopping in crowded stores. I avoid them from Thanksgiving to New Years.

Been a while since I joined the daily roll calls. I am now on day 4 of my pre-op liquid diet and not a big fan of the atkins protein shake. I am getting excited/nervous about the upcoming surgery but I think I am ready. I have to meet with the Doc tomorrow to sign the consent forms and pay my program fee. Then off for some blood work on Saturday morning. I hope everyone is doing well.

Just a quick fly by this morning as I have alot to do at work today.
I am glad Dawn is doing good. Thanks for the update Paul. Not a lot for me today, just work, work, work.
Saturday I will go see my brother down at U of I and Sunday I am will meet a friend for breakfast then head to Winnebago for a car club committee meeting.

Ho Hum...could have slept in this AM, and have a scratchy throat. Think I'm catching a cold. ugh!
Normal day at work. Nothing exciting going on.
A little worried about my niece who has been in the hospital - now out. Starting to run a low temp, so worried about the infection flaring upl She was home on oral antibiotics, but may need more IV therapy. We'll see how that goes today.
