I've been away for awhile,

but I'm still going strong!

I have been working on a play in the city and my opening weekend was last weekend.  I have one more weekend and then I'm done.  Whew, it's alot of fun, but I'll be happy to have some down time.

I just saw the pulmonologist and I have to do a breathing test and sleep study.  Then, I'll be ready for surgery!

Has anyone had to do injections after surgery?  The pulmonologist told me that I will inject myself once a day for 7 days with a medicine for blood clots - Lovenox.

I was on Lovenox during both of my pregnancies because I had a history of pulmonary embolisms.

For nine months, I had to give myself two shots a day in my belly. It pinched, like you'd expect, but it got very easy.

I had no side effects or anything, except tummy bruising from the shots.

I did and I did them for Dave. You will get through it it is easy.

Yes I had to the Lovenox shots too, it's not so bad.  The needle is so small and if you pinch the skin really hard you won't feel it.  You might bruise from the shots, but you'll do awesome!!

I think we all have to do the shots. Only "problem", if any was the bruising. No big deal.
