The OFFICIAL Get Together at Paul's Annoucement!!!

The Meet and Greet will be at our house at 338 Bristol Way in Cary, IL at 1pm on Saturday, October 17th.  I will be making some pulled pork in the smoker and will have buns to go along with it.  As for what others are going to bring, I'm not sure.  I asked folks to email me, and some have, but I've been preoccupied and haven't really coordinated that very well.  But last year it all worked out just the same.  I will also make up some ice tea and lemonade.  I don't like to use anything artificial, so they will be sweetened with sugar, but feel free to bring the artificial stuff if you want it.  If the weather stays cold, we will be in the house, which is cozy!  I may even light a fire in the fireplace!!!  It should be lots of fun!

I am planning on bringing Pumpkin Mousse.  It does look like there will be several other pumpkin dishes so I may change that to fresh fruit and cheese.

I did not think that I would be able to make it, but things might be changing.

I might have my grandchildren, but I see no reason that I could not bring them.  I have to discuss this with Todd when I get a chance.

I will let you know!

Tell someone that you love them!

Paul,

We will be there on Sat.  I have a support group meeting til 12 noon so I will go home and pick up the family and then head out to your house.

Im not sure what you have as far as food so far.  Do you have a list so I can see what you need?

There will be 3 adults and 2 kids.

Let me know what you need me to bring and I will be happy to do it!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone and thank you both for hosting again!

Hi Paul, thanks for doing this again, you and Liz rock!

Mike and I plan on being there!  I really need the support of my friends right now so this will be good.  Tyler has a football game at 9:30am at Glenbard East and then we have to stop home and let the dogs out, but we should be able to make it around 1pm.  I am going to bring a raspberry fluff that has protien in it!  I made it for another get together and everyone loved it.  :-)

I'm excited to see everyone and meet the new ones too!!

Monica,
I am not going to be able to make it to Pauls, but I love raspberry fluff.  Do you think I could have the recipe.

Thanks

You can make a fairly basic raspberry fluff by mixing sugar free raspberry jello (dry) with sugar free cool whip.  Then stir in some frozen berries, refrigerate and you are set to go.  I make orange fluff with orange jello, mandarin oranges and cool whip.  I think I use two pkgs (small) jello, 1 container cool whip and a can or oranges.  That may give you a starting point

Edited to add"

Oops  I forgot that I add a carton of fine curd cottage cheese.  I often will use a stick blender to whis****il smooth as I dont like the texture of cottage cheese.

This is the recipe I use:

1 container of cool whip
1 8 oz pkg of cream cheese
1 sm pkg SF cheesecake pudding mix (jello brand)
1 cup skim milk
1 scoop vanilla protien powder
1 TBS Davinci raspberry syrup

Mix milk and pudding mix together, add protein powder.  With hand held mixer blend in cream cheese.  Add syrup and mix well.  Stir in cool whip and chill for several hours.

now you can just scoop this out and eat it like that or you can use those small tart sized crusts and make little mini tart/pie things..lol I have also used a regular sized pie crust and made it into a pie.
It's yummy!!
