Monday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois and Happy Columbus Day.
It looks like another cool, no cold, day . It is also still dark, even though i dislike the turning back of the clock, at least it is light when I get up. Tradeoffs.
I am getting ready for another busy week at work. We are opened today. I think this was a tradeoff day for the day after Thanksgiving. Thats OK. Everyone thinks we are closed, so we get a lot of little things done.
Have a great day.
Stay warm and safe.
Hugs,
Lisa

Good morning Lisa and IL family!
I am not used to this cold weather. Yeah, I know.. can't do anything about it so why say anything...
I'll have a busy week at work too. Hospitals never close for any holiday. I'm so thankful for a job.
My knee hasn't changed much. Sleeping is awful. I just don't know what to do. Being inactive doesn't help me either. I am trying to cut down on my pain meds. Yesterday I just took one at bedtime. I was up at 2 this morning and got myself ready for work and then tried to get a catnap on the recliner. This is getting old and has been going on since the middle of July.
I pray that our new post-ops are doing well.
Nothing else going on in my life.
Have a wonderful Monday.
Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning Illinois,
Another long week at work. Got home late last night from a wedding in Indiana. Still trying to wake up.
DH finally turned on the heat in the house, and he got the hot tub going for the winter. Now I can relax in the hot tub before I go to bed, and maybe I will sleep better.
I am not scheduled for another fill until the 30th, but I still have no restriction, so I am going to call and see if they can squeeze me in sooner.
Lucy, I hope you knee feels better soon. Pain for so long is just exhausting physically and mentally.
Well better finish getting ready for work.
Talk to everyone later

Hello everyone
Well the weekend is over...
and Monday starts.
Well I did exactly what I said I would do. I didn't leave the house all weekend. My daughter's birhtday was Saturday and she had a good time. I will be seeing her this Saturday. I can't wait. It's been 2 months since I saw her.
Well so far I have pretty good restriction not as good as I first thought but still pretty good. Maybe I will need just one more little fill and that will be all. One can only hope. I know some people say they don't have restriction kick in till 2 weeks after a fill, but that has not been my experience. Usually as time goes by I can eat more and more.
Well enjoy you cold Monday (I know I won't).

Good mornining IL!
Back to work but only half day because this afternoon I go to a seminar at my surgeon's office to get the "whole scoop" on my surgery. It's a 3 or 3.5 hour class. Should know lots more when I'm done.
Being new here, I was wondering if you all would mind sharing what your jobs are? For privacy, I understand you may not want to put the name of where you work, but I'd love to know what you do (or maybe you don't work, would love to know that, too). You "oldsters" may already know this, but maybe it will be a nice refresher too? I'll start!
After being in banking for over 20 years, moving from being a teller, through all areas of lending, into bank operations and finally management, I got downsized out of management jobs twice. I always did the human resource "stuff" behind the scenes, so when I had a chance to become the human resource manager at a wholesale cedar lumber yard, approx 2.5 years ago I jumped at it. Loving what I do. NO STRESS which is wonderful after managing a ton of people in my previous jobs. I went from dressing up every day in banking to wearing khakis and golf shirts and tennis shoes. YIPPEE that's what I love to be in, anyway!
So what are you all up to?
Have a super day.

Georgie,
I work for community action, doing the LiHeap program, We help low income people get help in paying for thier heat and/or electric bills. We also do emergency help for utility shut offs and sometime can replace furnaces.
Great question.
Are you coming to Pauls on Saturday?
Hugs, LISA
