Hi Illinois Buddies!

Christine, I'm really enjoying your travelogue.  We haven't gone anywhere this fall due to saving up for me to be out of work after surgery. I love exploring new places.

Crystal, glad to hear you are out and about.  I'm the same way, I tend to do too much too soon!

I hope Deanna and Randy are doing well, they are constantly in my thoughts.

I may be crazy, but I'm hoping to meet many of you at Paul's get-together.  As long as my surgery goes well, I'll be home on Friday.  I met Paul at one of the art fairs, and he encouraged me to come if I feel up to it.

I've lost 13 lbs on my pre-op diet, which is more weight than I've lost in the past five years!   I can actually weigh myself on my home scale again, which was exciting.

I'm done with work days til after surgery, but there's still so much follow-up I need to do by e-mail to tie up loose ends as best I can.  It is very frustrating and stressful to be gone from work right now, but I don't know if anytime is a good time!

Have a wonderful Sunday evening!

Good Afternoon (evening?) IL friends,

Not a lot going on today.  Church this morning, where I sing in the choir, lunch out with some friends, catching up on laundry  to begin the good ole' work week.  Tomorrow afternoon I have my half day meeting at Dr. Joyce's group to get all the info and questions answered for after surgery .  I'm really looking forward to it.  That'll make it so much more 'real!"  Should learn a lot about the procedure and what I'll need to do to get started on the right track.

Have a good evening.  geo

We used to travel a lot more but we only have one income coming in now. We did not have any kids (our choice) so we can pick up and go when we want.

Good (almost) evening Illinois!

We went to see Couples Retreat today...it was funny!
I went to Burlington Coat Factory and bought me a down filled coat for the winter. I sure hope it will be warmer than the one I had last year.
I didn't find anything at the resale shops. Everything was either too big or too small.
I'm glad to see all the "new" losers posting and doing well.
Hope to see you all at Paul's on Saturday! I'm looking forward to it!

Hope you had a great day!
Carol

I love Burlington Coat Factory. I got a fantastic full length (to my ankles) down coat with a racoon edged hood two years ago and it was cheap due to it being the end of the season. It is so toasty for walking to and from work.

That's what I'm hoping for...to be nice and toasty warm.

Carol
