Surgery went well.  Woke up with no ventilator.  Two days in Icu.  Now in room so I can walk.  More later.

Hi Randy.. Hope each day is getting a bit easier for you.  Yes, you must walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip, rest, rest, rest.

Listen to your body and don't over do it.

Randy,
I am so glad you are doing good.  We were all thinking of you.  Glad you are in a room now, you will be more comfortable, just remember not to overdo it.  Welcome to the other side.

Hi Randy!  Glad to see you posting!    It is great that you have no ventilator and are up walking.  Walking will help prevent blood clots.  You are an official loser.    Congratulations!  Now on to a speedy recovery.

That's great Randy!  Glad to hear you are progressing well.   I hope your recuperation continues to go well.

Besides all the walking,  make sure your nurse gives you an incentive spirometer and shows you how to use it.  It will help you take deep breaths and prevent pneumonia.
(Sorry, that's the nurse coming out in me!)

God Bless,

Stephanie

Good morning Randy. Glad to hear that you are out of the ICU.

Just like Stephanie said from a fellow nurse as well, use your spirometer! There's nothing worse then coming down with a pneumonia.

Best wishes! and prayers,
Lucy

Randy,

Im glad you are out of the ICU and walking around.  Keep up the good work!  Here is your third nurse telling you to use your incentive spirometer!  Even when you get home, keep using it til you are fully out and about!

I hope you have a speedy recovery!
