on the way back

I am home after three weeks in the hospital.  One week for surgery, two in a rehab unit.   The surgery to move my stomach attachment and improve absorption was unsuccessful.  They got in and there was no room for manuvering.  Instead I will have to control the problem through medication and diet.   
     I am at 4 percent muscle capacity in my quads (legs) which makes it hard to walk and stand.  Physical therapy has helped and I will be continuing daily with outpatient therapy.   It has been discouraging  but at least now I feel like I'm on my way back to life!  Actually cooked for my family last night -  only chili but I haven't done anything since May.    On the good side - I'm down 130 pounds.
