Newbie coming out of Lurkdom!

Hello All!   I’m coming out of “lurkdom" where I have been hanging out for quite awhile. My name is Georgie and I have been approved for band surgery on Nov. 10^th! Yippee! I feel like I know all you “regulars" and have communicated with Carol and Dawn, and they have convinced me it is time to start posting. I have to say, I love the OH site, and I admire so many of you for all that you are doing and have done with your wt. Loss journey. I pray I am as successful as many of you have been. I have to say, the lessons I have learned, that I will be applying to my journey are: slow and steady wins the race! ; listen to your body; it’s ok to be discouraged, but don’t lose site of the GOAL; and best of all, what a super group of IL people are on this board who offer so much support, humor and insight. Looking forward to getting to know all of you a little better as I embark on this journey. Thank you, already, for all the help and support you have provided!

Nice seeing you again....I'm glad your finally out of lurkdom.
I know that until after I had my surgery I didn't post often. I came on here and read a lot and learned a lot too. Sometimes I still don't post too much...such is life.

we are so happy that you decided to come out of Lurkdom and become an active member of the Illinois Board. We really are a group of friends here, as you probly already know. And we really are happy to have you join us.

Your journey to the losers bench will soon be over. Then the ride will start!  Welcome.

Nice to meet you.  I go to the BMI clinic too, but my doctor is Dr Lahmann.  I love our doctors and they have an excellent program.  I hope you come on our daily roll call. Everyone is so friendly and supportive.  

A  support group just started.  Sheri would be able to tell you more if you're interested.  I really like it, its much more personal than the support group at Silver Cross.  I wanted something more one on one and this is perfect.  So you should try to make it to our 10-22 meeting.
